New insight, Trump is too new to be accepted by the old money.
They do not hate him because of any policy position - Trump is infinitely malleable and only stands against the regime because it viciously attacked him.
They hate him because he's not one of them, the elites who go way back.
Its been pretty obvious from the moment "both sides" started attacking him in lockstep that the "powers that be" hated him entirely because he was an outsider.
Which is pathetic in its own right, but was the biggest evidence possible that we live in a Uniparty and the Left/Right division at the government level is all smoke/mirrors with no actual resistance to the other.
It would have been so easy to co-opt him. Or maybe they thought he'd still be too much of a loose cannon. They created their own worst enemy.
They put all their eggs in the Hillary basket, which meant they had to destroy him to get her to win. By the time he beat her, they couldn't change course and had already made an enemy of him. Leaving no course but this.
The biggest mistake they made was letting Hillary have power over them to leave them in that predicament.
Now, if he would finally accept that fact instead of constantly trying to make them like him, he'd probably be fucking effective.
Keep going back, I bet Trump is too. It's not like the only slaves ever were the black ones in America. That's all they count though.
I think everyone descends from both slaves and slaveholders.
The trouble comes when you magnify it and feel either guilt for descending from the latter or humiliation for descending from the former, because it means that you can be manipulated or be taught learned helplessness.
As a Brit I can pretty much guarantee that my genetics contain slave, slave holder and financer of imperial manumission; I have also paid toward said manumission for two decades via taxation
A non-issue. Giving this attention is implicitly acceding to leftist framing.
I agree. Does being descended from a murderer or rapist matter? No? Then why does being descended from a slave owner? Is owning slaves worse than murder? Any reasonable person would argue it is not.
Being "descended from slave owners" is meaningless, except to give a borderline magical reputation where it, unlike any other crime, somehow curses your bloodline for all eternity.
The established elites are the real slave owners! Wait until everyone realizes the hypocrisy!

Someone's salty 😂
Meh, I don't really give a shit who had slave owners in their family. It was a part of human history. (and still is in some places)
I hate those people because of their own actions.
A lot of people are descendants of slave owners. I’d guess more people aren’t but still a good chunk are. I know I am. Although the left will hold that against you I’m sure they will find some evil ancestor of Trump.
Oh yea. That’s why they say “Drumpf” right?
George Soros was in the Hitler Youth and they have no problem with that though.
It would be hypocritical of me to care, since I don’t think people can be legitimately held to account for their ancestor’s acts.
But boy, is this hilarious, since the progressives should DO care about this kind of thing.
I literally don't care, actually some of our best presidents were slave owners themselves (let alone "descended from them"). This is the dumbest shit ever, no one will or should care, left or right.
Based Swabians
Slavery = forced labor + privilege.
Black "slaveholders" did not have privilege, so they could not have engaged in slavery.
