I'd argue the value of TikTok to China is in manipulation of people much more than whatever information they might get from spying. You're right though, how about parents tell their kids no. No, you can't be on social media, no you are not a girl with a penis, etc. It's not even all that bad, I know some kids that aren't allowed social media and they don't even bitch about it that much and one of them can be a bit of a spoiled brat at times. Can't miss what you aren't addicted to.
