In this bill Disney's district stays so Florida isn't paying the bills, but it's board is now appointed by the governor so Disney isn't in control of it.
Previously the district board was chosen by landowners in the district (Disney and board alums) and now the board members can't have any ties to Disney.

The original was dissolved. This is a new district, under state control. Disney does not own it or operate it. Obligations fall to it, yes, but since it is a state entity, it is now no longer Disney's problem.

It was more like a holding company that Disney got to use to run around normal laws and taxes. Now it's DeSantis' to screw Disney with if he selects the right board.
