Politico going full out defamatory on local governance because they aren’t to the left of Mao. Christian Nationalist is now the new Nazi buzzword. The interviewees are hilariously pathetic to include:
This came up during the board meeting last week, after Walter Davis, a retired college professor who had promised to speak at every commission meeting for two years as a form of protest, told the board he had to break that promise on the advice of his doctor. He couldn’t afford to get his blood pressure up. “It turns out being around you is injurious to my health,” he said.
Imagine being so delusional that you get emotionally worked up to the point you can’t even attend a board meeting without risking a heart attack. That’s how disgustingly pathetic our nation has become, wilting lilies who can’t even hold a debate or disagreement and then blaming everyone else around them as the problem.
That is, until they took office last month, and havoc broke out.
In their first meeting, the new board members adopted a series of measures that changed things in Ottawa County. They fired the county administrator and replaced him with John Gibbs, a former Trump administration official, Christian missionary, failed congressional candidate and election denier who once suggested women should not have the right to vote. They ran out their corporate counsel. They closed the county’s office of diversity, equity and inclusion. They picked for their new public health officer — pending state approval — a safety manager at an HVAC service company who, during the Covid pandemic, suggested ivermectin and neti-pots instead of social distancing and masks. And they rewrote the county motto.
Havoc I tell you, such havoc. More like actually draining a swamp.
There's a reason why the General Secretary, who controls party membership, is the most powerful position in Communist nations--more than even the "democratically elected" President.
But the crazy crt and lgbt pushing school boards are totally down the middle? I love how everything is far right. Some on the left will actually tell you that there is no such thing as far left
I would probably call that a strawman if I hadn't had the unfortunate experience of running into actual retards who legitimately believe that antifa does not exist and that it is just an abstract concept made up by evil right wing nazis.
Some on the left will actually tell you that there is no such thing as far left
Yes, that has been the case as long as I've been alive. When we say they hate "anyone right of Mao" it's not just an expression. They will literally claim you have to be left of Mao to be considered "far left".
I mean, if you look at the ideology, there kinda isn't.
Being on the left is fundamentally about knocking down barriers. That's why it's so beloved of paedophiles, because one of the barriers they want to knock down is the age of consent.
The moment you reach your own limit and say "Hang on a minute" you stop being "progressive" and become "reactionary". Doesn't matter what the barrier is, if you're a committed leftie, just that it's there.
If you want more detail you can always speak to Giz :D
I think James Lindsay postures to the mainstream too much, but his speech at the Oxford Union, a reducio ad absurdam of the Left's position, arguing that leftism can never go too far-- because it can (and should) always go further, to the point of perpetual revolution(!!), perfectly summarizes and sources the woke position.
All discrimination, especially the sort needed to draw the line about how far things need to 'progress,' is evil. Consciousness must be elevated endlessly and if a new status quo emerges, it must be attacked too. Any comfortable position or reconciliation denies the oppressive reality that needs to be addressed.
'Woke' can never go too far because Utopia is always at the end of the next civil rights struggle.

This is the basis of the “struggle session”, creation and maintenance of constant conflict to wear down a society from within. Murray also commented on this dilemma calling is a societal fatigue, where in the battle of wills eventually everyone will be dragged down into apathy.

He sounds vaxxed. I'm sure he'll have a heart attack all on his own without the help of being exposed to opposing ideas.

When you take away the histrionics the "chaos" amounts to:
They appointed a guy we don't like.
They fired someone.
They closed a cancerous organization.
They appointed a different guy we don't like.
They wrote a motto.
In other words, they did normal business.
so where's the downside?
But, but, but… they’re Christians!- Politico
And the local area voted for him. I mean they like democracy right?
No, they like "our democracy" as they call it.
"It's our democracy, but you're not one of us, so you don't get any"

"Nasal and oral PVP-I [Povidone-Iodine] antiseptic solutions are effective at inactivating the SARS-CoV-2 at a variety of concentrations after 60-second exposure times. The formulations tested may help to reduce the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 if used for nasal decontamination, oral decontamination, or surface decontamination in known or suspected cases of COVID-19."

Antifa is just an idea!
And buildings don’t matter it’s the people that matter
What about Temples of Democracy?
I would probably call that a strawman if I hadn't had the unfortunate experience of running into actual retards who legitimately believe that antifa does not exist and that it is just an abstract concept made up by evil right wing nazis.
Nadler outright said “antifa is just an idea” when asked by a reporter during the summer of love
I missed that one. Peak clown world.

We need more counties like that.
you haven't listed a single negative thing
What you say?! A CCP-owned propaganda rag whining about people having autonomy and democratic government?
