a new term "you're not just failing, you're kaling"
those two movies sound interesting
I didn’t watch it but I assumed it was a garbage “reimagining” specifically made to anger actual fans. Similar to how the moronic showrunner of Wheel of Time specifically seemed want to crap on the novels
Velma was so bad that the leftists thought it was a caricature of them. Hence why it received so much hate from both sides.
From the clips I've seen it could have been a caricature of leftists if it was not for the main writer being a self-insert.
And quite frankly they have no right to complain.
Did it not cross their mind that runaway hate on anything remotely wholesome and white will eventually lead to genuine retarded behaviour?
Yea she is typical woke Hollywood
Jordan is unironically spinning in his grave
and that simple spinning motion takes place over the span of 7 books
Agreed. Has Sanderson gave any opinions? I know he praised it but I wonder if he was just being diplomatic
He's definitely being diplomatic because he likely wants his Stormlight Archive books adapted.
He claimed the WoT show is "another spin of the wheel" so things are similar but also still different.
Problem is most of the changes are still utterly retarded.
Shallan's gonna be a fat black bitch with a hideous wig, isn't she? Ginger-cide must continue
I remember the showrunner said lgbt representation was important when he had a Q&A before the show even started. I was thinking that’s barely in the book why is that a priority. Then I saw the casting and knew I wouldn’t be watching. Everything I’ve heard validated my decision. The book already had female characters and non white characters once they left their village but that wasn’t enough I guess.
I haven't heard. But there is an article - that I can only read halfway through as it contains SPOILERS. I've read the first 9 books. So didn't want it ruined. Here is the link. https://winteriscoming.net/2023/01/10/brandon-sanderson-reveals-huge-secret-about-final-wheel-of-time-book-memory-of-light/
Hope you enjoy the rest of the series.
In what version is Velma any of that. Like, I can't think of any version where she isn't the only real character doing the Mystery Solving part of the operation. Shaggy/Scoob will luck into random things happening, and Fred will often physically operate a plan, but she does all the narration and idea building.
Even if we give that as true, better shows have already did it. Both the liveaction and Zombie Island (two of the most agreed upon top tier pieces) dealt with that topic, noted it was her own inferiority complex more than reality, and moved on.
What I'm saying is, like always, they have no idea anything about the source material and likely consumed minimal of it beyond "vague nostalgia from my childhood." Thereby just assuming their vague memory as fact, and made an entire fanfiction off that misassumption.
Even Helen Keller could see this coming, and she's a woman.
I expected higher "critic" scores.
Some people on the left thought it was some caricature of leftists and felt offended. I think this thru the critics off and did not know how to react.
Based on EFAP's coverage of the first two episodes, the phrase "morally diseased" comes to mind. It's not just somebody deciding to put slasher movie sex and violence into a Scooby Doo show, she's disgusting for the sake of being disgusting.
The slasher movie sex and violence wouldn't have even been that bad if they kept the same characterizations and dynamics of the cast. Like imagine a grim and gritty setting and the Scooby Doo gang gets magically transported to it to solve murder mysteries. Could be amusing for a few episodes at least... 15 years ago as a Newgrounds parody. But this went well put of it's way to make all the characters unrecognizable and unlikable.
The was an episode of Supernatural that was pretty much that. All the murders were Supernatural gorey and Sam and Dean had to explain to the Mystery team that monsters were infact real. Done in one episode
I always enjoyed the meta-commentary episodes, like the one where they get transported to our world and realize this world's version of themselves are actors playing on a show called Supernatural, or when they find out God is an author writing stories about them, or the jokes at the expense of the Supernatural fanfic community.
I mean I knew it would be woke garbage, I'm just surprised it's this bad. Like, top 100 worst, sure. Third-worst of all time is pretty bad!
both the left and right hate it.
Jinkies!
Sounds like HBO is gonna renew for season 2!
Wait, there's two things rated worse?
