Someone should file a lawsuit. Honestly with the Rooney rule they will never say it but in todays environment why hire a black coach who may be lousy and you are stuck with him because of you fire him after multiple lousy seasons you still get attacked as racist.
I saw that. Although he reminds me of what happened with Texas Rangers who are my favorite baseball team. They got a new manager who is a great option but the one they fired really got zero help from front office. Not sure if the Texans situation but it sounds like that happened to him but that happens in football. Plenty of white guys have been fired by GMs who didn’t help with personnel
I remember people were suggesting that the colts did something bad by not targeting minorities for their vacancy after they fired frank (sadly not the third) reich. The colts went 1-7 the rest of the way and had the third worst offense (above the jets/broncos) in that span. The fact they're asking for more diversity in coaching hires only to have guys like lovie smith/rivera flame out huge makes me think they secretly want owners to avoid them at all costs, like having your kids eat rancid yogurt so they're terrified of dairy for the rest of their lives.
Even worse than this is that if a minority on your staff becomes a head coach the team gets multiple draft picks giving them a competitive advantage.
Completely ruined the integrity of the NFL and all betting around it to virtue signal.
If you give the NFL a single red cent you are hurting everyone.
So the NFL compensates you for willingly taking on diversity hires?
