Imagine renouncing your claim to the throne over a piece of ass.

He and Tiger Woods can cry into their beer together.

Tiger, at least, genuinely seems to have tried to do better. I can respect that. I can also respect how he has tried to be close to his son, and the opportunities he has given his son to play together…

My parents never included me in their professional lives, or their sport (not professional, but like, Dad wouldn’t even teach me to play golf, or take me for lessons, even though he played regularly), so… I can respect the man for that stuff.

He’s still an idiot with somewhat of a god complex, but… I don’t think he’s on the same level as Harry. Personally, at least…

Tiger begged for forgiveness for cheating. His wife said: Cancel the pre-nuptial agreement"

Tiger canceled the agreement, and a year or something later, she took him to the cleaners. Tiger was a damn idiot. What did he think was going to happen?

Good luck to her. His assets are all in the UK. They are all tied up in a family trust, not his.

By himself, Harry is broke.

The Royal Family has some of the best lawyers and accountants in the history of the Union to set up those trusts. Part of their mission was to stop exactly this happening to royal assets.

If Megan thinks she is going to ride the divorce train to money-town, then she is fucking stupid. Harry doesn't have a bean to his name. If she gets half of everything, she will get half of his army pension. Perhaps.

A slim chance is still a chance. He threw that away for Meghan Markle.

Everyone renounces their family for their new life with their wives and kids. It's literately the point of marriage.

What? No, it isn’t. Getting a spouse to renounce their family is what crazy people do.

So choose your Mother over your wife and kids? Sure thing Momma's boy.

Just so you're aware.

Blood of the covenant is thicker than water of the womb.

It means to leave your family, and to create your own.

Huh? What a bizarre take. Healthy families have multiple generations of people working together to raise the kids. It's so helpful to have an extended family around to help out. Renouncing them to run off with just your wife and kids sounds like making things artificially harder for yourself for no good reason.

Do you actually think the Royal family is good? Do you think your parents are going to live forever? Do you think a family home has more then 8 bedrooms?

Reminder, I'm replying to someone who thinks getting married, relinquishing a corrupt monarchy and having children, is "Getting some tail".

So, your interjections on the possibility of a healthy generational family isn't really relevant here is it? Nor are you're assumption of my beliefs.

While I disagree with a lot of what you said, I'm not going to get into an argument about the other points, I was just mystified with the way that you framed getting married as 'Everyone renounces their family for their new life with their wives and kids.'

'Renounce' implies abandonment, rejection, formally declaring oneself as separate from. I don't think 'everyone' does this when they get married, In fact I think it's a very unhealthy thing to do.

You could argue that a man owes more allegiance to his wife than the rest of his family after he is married, but 'renouncing' them? Why?

You can see why I am confused by your statement, context of the royals aside.

It's important to note that we are not actually having a conversation. Text is interpreted differently to spoken word in the brain. All of your assumptions are things you have read into the text. Text that was not meant for you.

You can see why I am confused by your statement, context of the royals aside.

On the contrary. I don't think you are confused at all.

Turn your back on your family for your controlling, lunatic spouse?

Sure thing, Harry.

You think getting married, and having kids is "getting some tail". I can stress enough your incomparable ignorance. His children take precedence over his parents, as well as the title, prestige and wealth that comes along with it.

Normal, sane people don’t turn their backs on their family because they get married. You’re a lunatic.

You think getting married and having kids is "getting tail". You're understanding of relationships is that of a child's.

You know, I’m going through some really tough shit, at the moment. So much so that I actually don’t know if I’ll ever make it out of this hole in hat I have dug myself. Shit’s dark.

So in a sense it makes me… Glibly “happy” to know that at least I have more self-awareness than this grandiose narcissistic turd. At least I know better than to pay out on the memory of a dead ex (Caroline Flack, who Harry dated in 2009, killed herself two years ago), or the woman who I lost my virginity to…

At least I know better than to sell out my own family for money, or for an utter bitch of a wife (I’ve dated some pretty… Controlling women. Nonetheless I don’t think I ever put them ahead of family in quite that way)…

I’d like to think I’m not so stupid as to admit to something that would likely get me on a “kill list” (though obviously his “celebrity status” is both a blessing and a curse, here)…

And fuck, at least I know now better than to blame the world for my problems. I’ve seen some really dark shit. People have done pretty bad things to me (without going into detail, I’ve… Well, I know how bad the “state” can be when it wants to be, let’s say that), and I’ve seen the very darkest of humanity, a few times, but…

I don’t blame the world for that. I no longer hold a grudge. I eventually came to realize that holding onto that, that anger and pain, wasn’t really helpful…

I heard Harry speak at the Invictus Games (no, I’m not a veteran). I saw the vets look up to him and genuinely believe what he was saying, and his efforts to that cause.

It pains me that this is how he has chosen to use his position, and his “bully pulpit”… It pains me for what that might do, in regards to the Invictus movement, too (particularly after the shit he wrote in the book). If I was a vet I would be deeply, deeply disappointed.

Frankly, I hope that one day this 38-year-old man child gets his shit together and spends some serious time looking deep into a mirror…

Because frankly his two children deserve better than this…

Fuck both him and his cow of a wife and their entire 16 bathroom household, beyond that, though…

Eugh.
