Millennials seem to be the boogyman of some boomers and gen-Xers.
If the previous generations were as well put together as they want everyone to believe, things would not be as bad as they are now.
A lot of the problems that we have now, were started before millenials could vote, or were even born.
I guess self reflection is something some of those members of the previous generations seem to be incapable of.
It's pretty standard Boomer deflection. Really, the lambasting of Millennials and zoomers by rightist Boomers is the perfect encapsulation of the Boomer generation's own rejection of personal responsibility.
Most of the leftist tropes that the global elite use as a cover for their dystopian agenda originated or were popularized among the Boomers. It was the Boomers who inherited the most prosperous society in all of human history and have spent their lives since then actively undermining and destroying their own parents' legacy, having been somehow convinced that depriving successive generations of that same prosperity is in our in our interests.
The worst part is when boomers point to their own voting and say “don’t blame us, we’re the most conservative generation”.
You’re the most conservative generation alive.
The lack of conservatism among your children is your fault.
Your current beliefs do not reflect your 1960s activism, which is when all of this shit got rolling.
Yeah they really don't like being reminded of their own failings and what they had a hand in causing.
The boomers always have been and continue to be the most selfish generation. Boomers were lambasted even as far back as the 70s as the “me generation”.
Case in point, if conservative boomers actually gave a shit about their grandchildren, they’d be homeschooling them while their children (the parents) work. Instead you see boomers living states away from their children and grandchildren and they fuck off to far away vacations.
I'm betting you're gen x with the way you deflect to boomers
I'm gen x, and to me both are equally retarded. Just in different ways. But they both have a total lack of self awareness in common, along with being spoiled children.
Last i checked its millennials who openly support socialism and blm and its millennials who oush woke garbage
Hunh, millennials run Blackrock, Disney and a bunch of other companies now.
Who knew?
Yes they do. They also influence national parties. Look at the democrat-socialists who run the democrats. Radical millennials like aoc are the face of the dnc
Yes and your flower power and 1960s environmentalism, feminism and the "sexual revolution" played no role at all in generating woke garbage, nor did the parents who raised Millennials play any role in shaping their views or behaviour.
Yeah and millennials can stop being weak fucks and pretending to not have agency
Boomers be like "Millennials suck"
[Insert subway meme photo here]
Nigga you made the Millennials!
Did they though?
They left them to their own devices just like my dad did. Not because he wanted me to turn out like this but to give me exactly what I wanted. The thing is that after I figured out that "self-realization" doesn't lead to happiness I was more willing to consider his way of living because I no longer had the excuse of not being able to do things my way.
That's what they are doing:
Dad: Okay you little shit. Have it your way. Go to your nearest capital and have your journey.
Me: FINE! <fucks off to other side off Europe>
<years later>
Me: Maaaan, everything sucks.
Dad: Are you willing to listen now?
The opposite happened with me. My dad did the whole "maybe you'll understand when you're older" thing when I was younger and now that I'm older and do in fact understand he's more on the "yeah maybe you were right: the way I used to think is obsolete, and you're just fighting against the tide" side of things
Reminder that 2 thirds of millennials support socialismz and that it was millennials who supported and defended the blm and antifa riots. Meanwhile boomers vote net republican while most millennials vote democrat
I get caught up in the end of millennial so I understand it. One thing that happened shortly after I graduated college was the 2008 recession. Basically, if I had been 2 years younger my life could have taken a different trajectory. I could've been forced to give up college because my parents (and I) couldn't pay for it. I could have graduated, but I may never have been able to "get a job" for years, which was something that I needed.
I watched this happen to a significant number of people. Millenials lived through as many years of recession, at as bad a time in their development, as any generation since the 70s.
