I can sort of get on board with this when we're talking about personal relationships, and stuff of that matter. If that's what we were dealing with, I could completely understand where you were coming from. This, however? Nah. These fucking people used COVID to destroy the economy - to sow unbelievable discord - with the express purpose of geting their side back into political power. The people who did this, and the people that enabled them should never be forgiven.
Seriously. Look at all of the absolutely disgusting tyranny/idiocy that they have enabled over the last 3 years. I challenge everyone to think back: Keeping kids from going to school. Keeping kids from youth sports/graduations - things that are now forever gone to them; they'll never get a chance to get it back. Old people dying alone in hospitals, because family were restricted from seeing them. Costing people their jobs/businesses/livelihoods. Telling people that they couldn't meet with friends and family, but then telling us that rioting for BLM was totally an acceptable/necessary exception. Hyper-tribalizing the entire country to where you had people literally at each other's throats on planes, in the grocery stores (Seriously - people physically attacking others not willing to further participate in their, "HuRrRR! You've got to mask uP!", political purity test). Using it (and their bullshit vaccine mandates) to purge their political enemies from the police/military. You've got states like California enacting laws where doctors can't speak up against the leftist narrative, or they have their license revoked. You got all the tech companies doing their absolute best to ban anyone from speaking up. They totally broke our society's faith in science, vaccines, and medicine, things that are probably going to result in tens of thousands of future deaths. They've caused inflation that has made it so that food is like 30-40% more expensive. Rent is through the roof. They used it to game our elections, and basically broke society's faith in that as well...

In short, these motherfucking people used this thing to push all of our country to the very brink. They've nearly broken everything. There is NO fucking way you will ever convince me that they should be forgiven for that. They have dropped the mask. They have shown everyone exactly what they are / what they have always been. They just hid it before, because they thought they couldn't get away with it back then.
They have zero ethics/values/morals. The only thing they care about are their politics, and having the power to force those politics on everyone else.
They need to be removed from ever being in a position where they can hold power over others. Period. Never forget. Never forgive.

I'm saying that being bitter and angry about it doesn't hurt them, only you. At the same time, do the work to ensure that they never get such power again.

What is the alternative here? Apathy? If people do that, it's just going to let those who were responsible for this keep doing what they are doing, and make no mistake - that is absolutely what they are planning on doing, if people let them get away with it.
If people let them get away with this, with just a minor amount of pain, they are just going to see it as a small speed bump. The second the next thing/crisis comes along, they are going to be right back at it, banging the drum, using that thing/crisis to insert their agenda.
