Fact vs self-delusion.
There's something ironic and poetic about watching Leftists censor a threat about "harsh realities" in order to protect people's feelings.
"No, not that harsh!"
"Science" has simply become the next dogmatic belief system and it astounds me how so many people fail to recognize this and how said dogmatic belief undermines the scientific method.
Real science is the constant search for truth. It can never be settled.
In etymology, science refers to "book learning" or "acquiring knowledge; learning", alongside expression of "skill or expertise". I believe these counterparts are intrinsically linked. You need to express knowledge in the pursuit of learning more, via the application of expertise. These principles have brought forth the scientific method, and the ability to constantly challenge the status quo.
Any deviation from this puts us firmly in the realm of dogma.
The fact that this comment was removed is troubling.
This is an extremely autistic nitpick, but that's not necessarily true. It's the SRY gene that controls male-ness, not the Y chromosome. It's usually on the Y chromosome, but it can end up elsewhere in extremely rare genetic mixups, leading to a man with no Y chromosome.
What makes that especially interesting is that "SRY, you're male" has two different meanings depending on who you're addressing.
