The HBO series basically had nothing whatsoever to do with the graphic novel. It was just some weird racial shit, and it's primary purpose was to obsess over the Tulsa Race Riot and rename it the Tulsa Race Massacre.
Edit: LOL I just realized the picture on the right is Alan Moore. I thought it was some actor playing a king in a medieval fantasy movie, or a disheveled Karl Marx.
I don't know why so many boomer-era nerds look like that, but they all do. Alan Moore is every stereotype of a nerdy old man. If you concentrate hard enough, you can actually smell the cigarette smoke coming through your screen.
Hell, didn't this dumpster fire have not only his blessing, but his assistance? Didin't he himself claim it was faithful to the source material "unlike the movie?"

This fucking show caused wikipedia to change the fucking title: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tulsa_race_massacre&oldid=920448486 Note that even though the current page says massacre, the older version before this HBO show said riot consistently for many years.
Regressive leftists have been arguing about this title since 2016 by the looks of it.
Step 1: Make up a bunch of bullshit.
Alan Moore has disowned every single adaptation of his work, so this isn't exactly a surprise.
Zack Snyder's Watchmen, despite its issues, was probably about as faithful an adaptation as could be made, and Moore refused to even watch it.
He only just watched anything the tv series apoarently.
As is tradition. Though from what I heard about the show, this one deserved it.
I never saw it but I did hear about how it was the typical woke nonsense
Then he should have liked it.

Maybe it's not woke enough for the crazy commie

I used to know a guy like that but at least he wore his hair in a ponytail so he wouldn't look like Hungry Santa.
Funnily enough, I was actually going to make a ponytail comment, but the smoking thing was more ubiquitous I think.
Skin husk for proglodytes sermonizing over white racial guilt.
"I didn't think the revolution would come for my stuff"
fuck off commie
