When they hit $5 a few months later every time, there's no reason.
I still don't buy them after they hit $5 lol
I can't remember the last video game I paid for, but at the same time, games these last few years have been so bad I don't even bother pirating them anymore.
Games I downloaded/pirated in the last year:
Surviving Mars with all DLC - Played it for a while then it got really buggy and I couldn't really use the new shit like underground and asteroids and terraforming so I got sick of it and stopped
Hades - I could never really get into it. It is aright as a game I just don't like that style of gameplay where you have to button mash and do frenetic dodges and shit.
Hearts of Iron 4 - old world blues DLC - This was good for a while. It's HOI4 in the Fallout New Vegas world. I played through it a couple times until it got so easy it was pretty much a joke (you figure out the mechanics, what is OP, etc, then you just steamroll)
Surviving the Aftermath - post apocalypse city builder, pretty decent for a while and then you explore the map and build out your town and it gets boring
Raft - holy suck boring and grindy
Vampire Survivors - fun for like a week.
That's a good trick. Wait 5 years for the gold to rise and the dross to sink.
I pirated NMS on launch just to experience the shitshow. It was a total ass of a game.
I played some of the major updates. It definitely became more of a viable game that was worth paying for years later, but obviously the game is still a disguised grind and gets very boring and repetitive, there are just more activities to do to flesh out the grind more.
It kindof plays like a mobile game. I think Elite: Dangerous is more of a "real" game, but that game also suffers from a lack of content.
Prices rise as quality tanks? Oh no it’s almost like trying to pander to extreme minorities while telling the fanbase they’re racist isn’t successful
Having boycotted Ubisoft back when they stopped putting effort into the new For Honor heroes yet introduced game passes, I am not surprised in the slightest at this.
Also to anyone that played For Honor back in the day a moment of silence for Valkyrie's boob touch execution
Man OG For Honor was a gem, one they dragged through manure year after year.
This increases their profits from $60 x 0 = $0 to $70 x 0 = $0. Hmm.
So how much does the full game cost, considering they all come with a bunch of day one DLC that you have to pay extra to get?
I'm all for games increasing in price, provided they won't nickel and dime us with all their microtransaction bs.
I wouldn't bet anything on that being the case.
Feels good not to have bought an ubisoft game in over a decade, kek.
Will that make them less generic of 'open world, climb something high to reveal map, collect lots of items for a quest/challenge, you either shoot/stab enemies'?
Probably not. Ubisoft Open World is its own game genre.
Yeah, one of the reasons I stopped playing Ubisoft games after AC Black flag, that and they ruined the multiplayer for that, I liked the cat and mouse gameplay.
I think this is a good thing. If you're going to go that route, pay up. You deserve it.
Ha!
I'll pay $80 if you stop pandering to women's hatred.
