I used to live in Chicago. That place is so fucking segregated. The urban elite whites live in fancy neighborhoods well removed from the blacks and hispanics, and those parts of the city are basically a shithole. Despite Chicago being one of the most leftwing cities in American for many, many decades, the democrats have completely failed their most devoted followers. It's sad really.
I occasionally would stop a taco bell in the south side, near the highway coming into the city. This place had bullet proof glass, and the food was passed to you through this armored tray that went through the pickup window--no chance of getting robbed.
But yeah, keep voting for democrats and Lori Lightfoot. They're doing a great job for you.

I think it's almost certainly intentional at this point. The Democratic Party needs victims to exploit for political purposes, and black Americans have been a key constituency group of the Democratic Party since the 1960's. The prior effects of the New Deal on the black family were terrible. They likely learned from this and used the lessons of the New Deal to make black Americans dependent "slaves" of the party. Just look at how they try to destroy any black American who votes Republican or sides with conservatives? They do their best to destroy any slaves that leave the reservation, lest the others get any ideas.

After the white flight that followed the exposure of "redlining" in the late '70s, some lovely livable 'hoods went to shit, for example, Marquette Park and Gage Park, near where I lived until 1971.
The working-class Mexican folks of Brighton Park, where I lived when it was Polish/Irish/Lithuanian, were doing well at keeping up their properties and raising their kids and being neighborly the last time I visited (around 2016), but eventually the gangsters (Two-Sixers, I think, at war with the Latin Kings) moved in and began terrorizing everyone. The church and the neighborhood association are doing valiant work trying to keep positive and keep the 'hood a good place to raise a family, but it appears to be a losing battle.
It breaks my heart to see hard-working Mexican families terrorized by shitheels in my old neighborhood.

Yeah most of the violence is not about race they are just psychotic shits that never had discipline instilled in them. I do not know why it is so hard for leftists to grasp this either. Anyone that has ever observed a child knows they start off as little sociopaths and are raised to be better. Now you have about 80 percent of one racial demographic being left to never advance beyond that sociopath state or worse getting influenced by rando gang bangers into becoming violent lunatics.
