Not doing assignments, skipping class and having to redo tests over and over again are "non-academic"?
They openly admit that black children are undisciplined, have bad behavior and cannot compete with any of the other races. Are they secretly Stormfags? :D
Leftists: many blacks cannot compete or even function in our society because of systemic racism, an unfalsifiable boogeyman that we made up
Race realists: many blacks cannot compete or even function in our society because of innate differences, here are studies proving these differences exist
Enlightened centrists/civnat retards: both sides are racist, everyone is the exact same, anyone can accomplish anything, herp derp
If you are going to excuse bad behavior then you are going to encourage bad behavior. Why don't this people understand that?
Oh, they understand it. They're actively trying to destroy the US. I don't know what it'll take for people to figure it out finally.
The left hates the US and everything it stands for
Maybe they want more dindus so they have more excuses to riot and fight the power MAN!
watch negroes still fail miserably despite the race boost
"Jayquan Tyrone Washington, even with the 20 point Biden Bump, your grade is a 17. You failed."
angry YOUF noises
Give them some credit. They'll fail even harder after this is implemented.
This is the complete destruction of agency for these kids.
Typical leftists focusing on results only, not methods. This is the manifestation of Biden's "poor kids can be just as smart as white kids" thinking.
Black SAT failure rate was 77% in these schools. The rate of blacks born to unmarried mothers is 72%. Pretty close.
They want to remove "non-academic" factors for grading, such as showing up for class and turning in assignments. So, I guess if you never show up you get an A?
Imagine the effect this will have on black students. Does anyone think inflating their grades will help them succeed in real life? People will see a black applicant for a job and just assume that they made it through school because of initiatives like this. What about black kids who work hard and get good grades legitimately? They'll be indistinguishable from some lazy retard who doesn't do shit.
It's been a safe assumption with affirmative action over the last 50 years.
Elements of both the left and the right correctly recognize that certain demographics cannot be trusted with certain responsibilities. Look at the gun violence in Chicago, Baltimore, etc. Does the evidence suggest that black America can be trusted with the right to bear arms?
The leftist solution to this problem is to take responsibilities and rights away from everyone and put them all wholly under the purview of the state. If some demo can’t handle the second amendment, then no one gets it.
The right wing solution is to segregate away from those unaccountable demographics that would sabotage our rights and freedoms. If a certain demo can’t handle the second amendment, then I don’t want to live with that demo.
The third solution is to enshrine rights and freedoms in stone and let the chips fall where they may. This one sounds the best on paper, but it’s really only feasible with the right demographics. You can’t give The Congo the same freedom as Northern Europe because the people in the Congo will use it to literally eat you.
Well said
ending segregation was one of the worst things to happen to black americans - every metric proves it
"White society destroyed, blacks most affected"
Doesn’t surprise me at all. This suburban enclave is a bordered by extreme black poverty and violence on one side of the street, and white mega wealth on the other. Oak park has been championing diversity while ignoring the suffering in their backyards since the 80’s. A large percentage of the residents are wealthy professors from UofC and Loyola.
The funny thing is this is all done because of differences in SAT scores. Given the makers of the SAT don't start adjusting scores based on race, I predict that the scores will remain unchanged or will go down across the board.
Hard to say which way things will go for scores. Some 4-year colleges are dropping standardized test requirements for applications. The number of students taking the tests may drop, at least among those with "adequate" academic records for their prospective schools.
Given this combination of changes, this could be a recipe for disaster.
Maybe they'll do what they did in Germany: lower requirements.
Just read an article today that the number of high-school graduates with perfect scores rose by 400% over the last 15 years due to them dumbing everything down.
Before you ask, no, it's not that children got smarter. The "better" they do in high school the harder they crash in universities because they are completely unprepared.
No worries though. They'll just dumb down the universities, too. Can't have their precious migrants and whiney retards who take every friday off to protest look bad.
[insert "that's racist" meme]
Currently here we consider IT "degrees" from most universities as a strike against hiring someone. Now it looks like if you went to a public school you're going to be considered worse than useless as well.
Watch as every woman gets 100%.
Do they need more? When I was in high school all the teachers treated the girls like princes and the boys like we never did anything good. Granted we did do a lot of stupid shit. But that should not have affected how they treated us in terms of tests and grades.
