I expect precisely as much outrage from the ruling class as it showed when Ukraine shelled Donetsk with cluster munitions.

All of modern politics in the West is just the Friend-Enemy Distinction, nothing more.

Even Russians (namely the DNR supreme comrade on Rassiya 1) quickly admitted it was debris from a shot down missile.

It's like when the Ukrainians hit a plane which exploded over Kiev on first night and caused a lot of damage just by that. https://youtube.com/watch?v=WGnwaK0z_e8

Similar situations occured in countless other places. In WWII many people were even killed on the ground by friendly anti-air fire. "Battle of Los Angeles" resulted in damage and casualties as they were shooting AAA at phantoms.

Very nice, but this was only one of the instances. It was also the avowed goal of the Ukrainian leaders.

"Our children will go to school and nursery school, and theirs will sit in basement!"

I could make the fatuous point that "if Putin had said this", but we both know that the corrupt tyrants in the West only pretend to care about their "human rights" when it is to their political benefit.

Which brings us back to the only thing that counts. Friend-enemy. Russia bombing Mariupol very bad. Ukraine bombing Donetsk very good.

Maybe compare how Donetsk (on any date, beyond the airport zone obliterated by both sides and the villages just to the west of it that the Russians destroyed) and Mariupol (now) look like. Aerial and sat photos, skylines, things like that. Or Mariupol on February 23 to the one just 3 months later (Donetsk airport went for 9 months and then it was for 7 years in these villages). Do it before making more dumbfuck attempts to equalize things.

Do it before making more dumbfuck attempts to equalize things.

Can we remain on good terms even while disagreeing?

As for equating, I'm not. Obviously, Russia has tons more firepower than the Kiev regime, and the situation is completely different as Ukraine never had any hope of retaking Donetsk. If there were an active offensive, and the DNR decided to use the city as a human shield like Azov did Mariupol (which I do expect), then I expect the city to be reduced to rubble to thunderous applause from the same people who professionally bemoan the fate of Mariupol.

So I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of the West, who condemn the shelling of civilians and the use of cluster munitions only when it's their enemy doing and almost never their friend.

It's all about friends vs. enemies, nothing more.

Even Russians (namely the DNR supreme comrade on Rassiya 1) quickly admitted it was debris from a shot down missile.

Here's the problem with this. Ukraine denies even firing the missile.

If there was a military target beyond Donetsk (which, why would there be, that isn't anywhere near the actual fighting) that the missile was going to strike, and Russia agreed they shot down the Tochka-U, then both parties would essentially come to reconciliation on the topic that it was just a shitty situation.

Even if the argument is made that Ukraine could just have every reason to lie about it, that they are lying suggests that the target actually was somewhere in Donetsk. Given the proximity of the missile debris to the blast zone, it wasn't traveling much farther than from where it was hit.

There are a plenty of military targets inside Donetsk.

What do you mean "actual fighting"? Are Russians not striking all over the country, since hour 1 and every day and night with planes and missiles? What the fuck is this thinking? Russian targets inside Russia were also attacked, as they should be. Fucking Moscow is full of targets, if only it could be only reached (Americans destroyed all of Ukrainian strategic forces decades ago - hundreds of strategic missiles and cruise missiles for heavy bombers along with the bombers themselves, not just the nuclear warheads). Vladivostok is full of targets.

You don't use AP cluster munitions on targets in a city.

A bunch of allied POWS died of starvation and typhus in camps because the allies kept on bombing German supply lines.

And her "fuck the EU" was because we didn't want to compromise and wanted Yanuk out.

I believe there was an EU-sponsored peace agreement for early elections the day before he was violently overthrown.

BTW, what right does the EU have to want another country's leader removed? None. But they, like the Americans, go around the word pretending they have the right to rule it.

It was "Euromaidan" not by an accident.

Yes, I am fully aware of the role that scum like Guy Verhofstadt played.

Ukraine is right on the border of the EU, not "around the world".
