Wherein Kratos has his balls tied to a leash held by a strong diverse woman.
The ladies will get plenty of fanservice of whichever cucked bastard gets the starring role, but women will be kept covered up by feminist censors who apparently think the middle east is right about women.
He's getting on in years but the sole black casting I would not complain about is if they used Christopher Judge/Teal'c from Stargate because he's the voice actor for Kratos. Plus, he's meant to have ash covered skin anyway so regardless Judge being black if they were going to be lore accurate [ahahahahahahahahahahaha] then they could just whiteface cover Judge in grey ash.
I don't mind him being cast as black, his voice actors were black IIRC, and it would give some life to the ghost of Sparta ash he should be covered with
I'm more concerned about him "ruling with respect" as it were
Like that sure, I would have no problem with it. But if they would put a black actor for Kratos they will make sure everyone knows he is black, always.
It would also have some ham fisted message on how hard he had it for being black.
Main problem was that the main actor completely ruined the character. Picard in the original was an ultimate badass man of the arts. He was a war hero. Everyone revered and respected him. Each episode was a philosophical study. In this one, he gets treated like dog shit by everyone and they do their best to woke all the characters like making Seven of Nine a lesbo for no reason despite having had a romantic arc with a male character on the other shows.
It’s pretty telling when they do that. That the ultimate ascension anyone can make is becoming an alphabet person, not growing as a person or accomplishing something. That there is no higher calling than coming to the realization that if you have a cunt, you should lick one, or that man dicks belong in man butts. It’s pretty retarded. It’s anti-growth.
Wow they turned her into a lesbian? I guess I shouldn't be surprised. They take pride in taking sex symbols of the past and then throwing them in the alphabet soup as a way to demoralize and erase the things people loved about the past.
The way it happened doesn’t even make sense, either, it’s just an aside thing they inserted. Like they were high fiving a win for the team in making her gay and just wanted to let you know. The show isn’t all bad but like most things today it’s written by children whose primary experience is watching TV and movies.
You really could just take any classic book and repurpose it all into a movie and people would think you’re a genius just because nobody reads anymore.
You didn't tell anybody why BNW was good, your argument was that it had hot chicks and looked cool.
It opens with no grand theme like st:tng (humanity on trial) or tos (what is reality), and subsequent episodes are full of soap opera drama and superficial dumb callbacks like a khan descendent. Ep 3 even has the Strong Powerful Woman who cures the disease just by being herself -- yay! The doctor has a pet daughter, which is kind of creepy.
I'll check it out after a couple seasons if it doesn't get much worse, but I'm not going to get baited into Stockholm-defending it when it does. For example, when it was revealed the normal looking woman secretly has super strength and super genes and no doubt is super smart did you say to yourself "oh that's ok because I really like the show?" I bet you did.
Now imagine if entire seasons have a single story arc at about the same quality of those episodes and you'd have the new stuff being called Trek these days. (not speaking to BNW because I haven't seen it yet, it's just hard to imagine how the same production studio could make it much better)
For every "The Inner Light" or "Best of Both Worlds", there is a "Spocks's Brain" or Code of Honor.
You know that's an extreme exaggeration.
Move Along Home isn't even that bad. If BNW is the level of Move Along Home then, meh I might check it out someday.
I don't know what you think you were arguing about, I just said you were exaggerating. (talking about bad episodes, not just mediocre) I didn't attack the show. My comments weren't about B/SNWhatever. I know that one is episodic even if I don't know the name.
WTF are you talking about? That's not even close to what I said.
May not be what you thought you said, but even now you haven't given a single other reason to watch than it's not that bad.
The classic series and TNG had lots of bad episodes, but also real philosophy and ideas. Spock's brain obviously a commentary on feminism for instance.
Old Trek diehards like to pretend every episode was a masterpiece
You keep strawmanning that BnW is good because older treks were bad sometimes. Heck of a way to sell people on your fan show.
Pike coming to terms with his mortality ...
La'an dealing with the trauma ...
U'na (Number One) dealing with the racism ...
A pointless war and the striving for peace.
So, finally, the things you like about it are soap opera. That's fine, I'm half way through Personal Taste (2010) and liking it so far.
There is some truth to what you are saying. Halo was a bad woke influenced series but I had a lot of fun listening to critics tearing it apart. It was a lot more entertaining then the movie could have been.
By that fucked up logic Picard is more entertaining by virtue of being woke influenced trash then Strange New Worlds that I assume is ok but not some generation defining series.
Here comes God of Woke.
Wherein Kratos has his balls tied to a leash held by a strong diverse woman. The ladies will get plenty of fanservice of whichever cucked bastard gets the starring role, but women will be kept covered up by feminist censors who apparently think the middle east is right about women.
At the very least Kratos will be black. Is hard to make him gay but I would not put it past them.
Oh, maybe not "gay" but he'll definitely be a queer hero in some way. They'll need to make it clear that he's not Super Straight.

I don't get this argument what does it matter the voice actor? I thought the left was the one that cared about how the voice actor looks.
Mostly because if you cover him with all that ash, you wouldnt even know what skin color the actor is.
Assuming they don't show him before he is covered by the ash anyway.
That said...I never cared about whiteface or blackface....provided the actor (with the makeup) looked the look, talked the talk, and walked the walk.
Like that sure, I would have no problem with it. But if they would put a black actor for Kratos they will make sure everyone knows he is black, always. It would also have some ham fisted message on how hard he had it for being black.
Sadly probably true in this era of woke racism

How many gender and race swaps will this one have? And I wonder what girl will be the real protagonist while Kratos will be made to look incompetent.
Will probably turn him into gaytos or something
Brought to you by Amazon, known for shows like Wheel of Time and are going to do the new woke Lord of the Rings ....
Yea, my bad on that one. Going to edit the comment.
So bait and switch?
Kratos will be played by Yasmine Finney.
Oh dear.
