Pretty sure everyone who cared ditched CuckCuckGo when they stated they were going to start fucking with search results because MUHH YOU CRANE!

That said, I still stand with Luke Smith about search engines as a whole.

Brave search is suffering issues from taking results downstream from other search engines though.

Brave Search uses their own engine to 90%. They bought Tailcat just for that. The other 10% is bing, but it's used as a last fallback resort. There are no other search engines involved.

I still personally find it is still ass.

I use it as my primary, but it often doesn't have a single result close to my query. It also seems to give up after suggesting only one page of results.

I'm still supporting it. But I'm also routinely having to use an alternative after it fails to even come close to satisfying any query with any nuance.

I use it as my main as well, and I don't have any major issues with it. Minor ones though, sure.

CuckCuckGo has been pozzed for a long time. Not much of a loss imo, it always fucking sucked whenever I tried to use it.

The only reason I use (and continue to use) it is because it can directly go to and search many other, sites without having to bookmark them all. Their search is trash, but I don't know any other page I can search everything else from. Brave, yandex, a wiki for a random game, youtube, even google if I need something relatively non-political.

SearX and Mojeek can be set up to use all those and other engines as well.

If you mean the bang notation, they work the same way in Brave search. For example, !g will take you to Google in both search engines.

That's good to know. Does it actually tell you that anywhere? Playing around with it, it doesn't actually list them like ddg does, so for any I don't know I'm basically guessing.

Great. When that's integrated into the main search bar I'll switch over. Going to a second page to determine what to type to go where I actually want to go defeats the purpose. Without that you might as well type 'youtube', click to go to youtube, and then search there.

Damn, it must make their hips ache to spread their legs that wide.

DDG sponsors NPR. That is all you need to know.

Sometimes I alternate between Bing and Yandex. They're both better than Google because they don't hide things from you, so you get what you're searching for faster. Indeed, I hadn't realized how much Google attempted to manipulate me until I tried non googlified alternatives. I trust Yandex more than Bing merely on account that Russia has less utility for my info.

Both bing and yandex censor and track you, FYI.

The tracking is expected. I haven't seen censorship in search results, at least not anything like google's.

yeah, Yandex censoring is like China's.. If you catch my drift.

How is it different from Google's?

When you get down to the brass-tacks, it really isn't. China censors truth about China, Russia censors truth about Russia, Great Reset Globalists censors truth about the great reset and globalism.
