Grand Theft Auto V release date: 17 September 2013. This is why I absolutely hate GAAS games. You never really know when they'll pull something like this. Even nine years after launch. They also confirmed this for the next one without having to say anything at all. Because you know it'll be in there from the start. Which means I'm out. The last Rockstar game I liked was Bully, because there wasn't, and still isn't anything else like it. And that was back in 2006.
I think that's what rolling this out now is really about and why it isn't GTA V+, it's GTA+.
If they announce paid online in the context of being new with GTA VI's release people would be up in arms. But by adding it to GTA V they can limit the backlash and normalize this well ahead of the new game's release. And by that time gamejournos will probably be saying that not liking GTA VI because of it is "review bombing" (while they no doubt have free credit) because GTA V already had it.
Now GTA is literally grand theft.

WHAT!? Red Dead Online has been a shit show from the very beginning. All they had to do was follow the damn
trainfirst game’s multiplayer. That was great! But instead, they tried to duplicate the money milking machine that is GTA:O.I'm comparing it to the gta:o community. Each has their shitty players, but I encounter many fewer in rd:o. And I find it easier to frustrate the assholes in rd:o.

It's also a total joke of an offering. The Aquarius upgrade is a scam, IMO. Sure, the yachts are an ingame luxury, but there's little reason to get anything beyond the Pisces. The 500k is literal pennies if you spend even a little bit of time learning the Casino Heist or Cayo Perico.
Aside from that, it's just boosters which is the most pathetic thing you can 'offer' players. Charging players a monthly fee so you can increment a variable by 1 is the most lazy shit possible.
