All I have to say to Sajak is that if you're really concerned about people saying mean things about those contestants online, the best thing to do is to just shut the hell up. People will have their laugh, and then they'll move on to the next picture of a cat that goes semi-memetic. Whining on Twitter isn't going to change anyone's minds; it's just going to draw more attention to these contestants, not only because you're bringing their stupidity back to the forefront after it's been buried, but now people will have your bitching to add to the mockery of the whole debacle.
I can buy that explanation for more complex, obscure puzzles. And I can definitely understand guessing "hat" at first. But I'm not very good at this kind of thing and it was immediately obvious that it was one of two things the second I saw it. And I'm not even close to old enough to remember people saying "put a feather in your cap". I'm not old enough to remember caps period, except when very old men wear them.
Also, these people just won thousands of dollars for playing a game for 15 minutes. They can cry about how hard life is as they collect their massive check.
Women don't generally wear baseball caps and may have never called anything a cap. The black guy, who knows, maybe "rag" like do-rag since he went with 'g'.
Really just the randomness keeping the smart guy from answering for two turns.
Is this video one of those "god Americans are so stupid!" things the online left has been doing for as long as I can remember? As though Americans are somehow uniquely unintelligent among their peers (with the slightly veiled implication that as a result we are undeserving of our position on the world stage).
