That looks ridiculous. What was the problem? Bad guys have a salute that looks like real life bad guys? Who was offended this time?
FFVI turned me into the ultra nationalist I am today. If they had censored it long ago, I doubt I’d be honk honking during these trying times.

If you look at the real original Star Wars, Greedo didn't have time to shoot. Because Han isn't a retard, and knew that shooting the motherfuck was going to be his only way out. It's the exact same impulse that led him to shoot the console when the conversation with the storm trooper went south during Leia's rescue.
And he knew he was in a real, honest-to-God dirtbag bar where everyone minds their own fucking beeswax.
The idea of people dodging something moving the speed of light is absurd anyway. Jedi can deflect blaster bolts with their lightsabers because the force moves them into the right position before the blaster fires.
Blaster bolts don't move at the speed of light. He still would've been too close to dodge.

Every time they censor something stupid from a remake, you've got to wonder about the absolute mountain of stuff that must get censored from games being made today, because the bar there must be much lower- with this stuff, the content is already in, and they have to go to the effort of taking it out, and they know they'll be caught and at least some people will complain. But with stuff that's never released, who will ever know? It would be nice if there were insiders leaking how much good content gets removed or never gets made for games being made today, but I can certainly understand why people would be reluctant to do so, since they'd almost certainly be found and have their careers destroyed for wrongthink.

The salute predates Hitler, I think it was a Roman salute that Hitler adopted.
It was a bad take on the Roman salute by pro German creators like Wagner.
The original salute was just a hand sticking out.
Thank you, I did not know. Now in the game is a hand raised straight up, since is 2d and all. It barely resembles anything. Their censorship is ridiculous.
