This. Someone who is genuinely remorseful will actually be happy they were appropriately punished. They know they deserved it. But the remorse often doesn't manifest until during or after the punishment when they've had time to reflect.
It’s more complicated than that, though, because both have “native” cultures where misogyny and violence against women is literally a core tenet of their “traditional existence”, which is, unsurprisingly, the exact opposite of what the left claims…
NZ gives the Māori waaaay more power, than the Abos have in Aus, so, consequently, that aspect of NZ culture perhaps balances out the feminist slant…
But trust me when I say that NZ is definitely more feminist than Aus. By around 10-20 years, re their legal system, history, etc…
If we’re going for “level of feminism” out of 10 (simplifying things massively), the UK is probably a 6. Australia is an 8. NZ a 9. And 10 would have to be Finland or Denmark, at the moment…
Although the Nordics aren’t quite so… Violent, about it, so I suppose that’s a tradeoff, of sorts…
I was duped. NZ prime minister San Jacinta of Adhominin screeches loudly, but I've not really seen much of out of her lately. Mean while, your grand high priestesses of the Branch Covidians are still appearing on the news all the time.
Oh yeah. That's one of the things that I thought made it seem like the feminism was lip service over there. You know, white feminism, where the rich white women get what they want (money, positions of authority, fear) and then tell everyone else the show is over and to fuck off.
Remember that in the UK, we/they (what do I put? I don't live there now) have Coercive Control, where a woman can use self-defence law against alleged emotional abuse rather than requiring risk of actual harm.
Remorse and all is great and it's not like I'd call for some kid to get life imprisonment over this, but there's gotta be some sort of actual punishment. They needed to serve some time just to give them a seriously shitty experience like they put that boy though.
I think you're missing a very important aspect: deterrence. It's not just for the sake of the offender and victim, but to ward off future transgressions by showing there are consequences for such actions.
If you don't punish a crime, it might as well be legal; there are plenty of stupid, archaic laws still on the books in most countries that are simply not enforced. This is also why we had the "Summer of Love", Portland courthouse siege, repeated thefts in California, or beatings in NY- lack of enforcement turning into implicit encouragement.
I shoot from the hip a lot with my posts on this site, so it wasn't something I thought of. I do think some short prison (juvie) sentence would probably have worked well as a deterrent here. Albeit I'm not a fan of prison in general, unpopular as that opinion may be, because I think it's not much of any deterrent when you get to the level of career criminals.
Remorse would be even better if it could be verified. And if it were remorse for the crime and not thee consequences. So I do not believe in going easy on people for supposedly having remorse.
Honestly, what they did reads as evil. Not just cruel, or immoral, or illegal (well, it certainly should be), but evil. I honestly wonder, for them to do that - how long had they been planning this..??
Was this the whole “point” of the “friendship”, from their perspective..? We’re they always gonna do this at some point?
Disgusting, and disturbing.
But yes, I’m sure, even if they don’t get off, that the judiciary will “go easy” on them. Because this country hates boys and men, and holds women and girls up on a pedestal. I do not know why. But it has for a looong, looong time.
First jurisdiction to give women the vote (South Australia, 1896), and second country to do so (after NZ, of course!!).
Surprise fucking surprise. “We” have, or rather, this country has, always been at the vanguard of feminism, at least for the last, ooh, 130 years or so (so, First Wave). Hence fucking Germaine Greer, and later, freaks like Yasmin Abdul-Mageed, and Grace, of course. It is a consistent feature of life, here, reinforced by a massive bureaucracy that supports it, and again, I do not know why…
There’s definitely more women than men, in parts of Australia, but the opposite also applies, so that simply cannot be the cause…
I truly don’t know what is. 😑
Yes, ideologically possessed doesn't even begin to describe it.
It really wouldn't surprise me. Poor kids have no idea how the other half lives, so they are flying blind. I don't think everyone should be brought up reading my posts, because they'd turn out like me, but at the same time, I think kids should at least know women and girls are capable of very evil things.
I'm still expecting a female judge to sentence them all to 10 minutes of community service helping the vaccination drive.
Maybe that's why you're so far along. They've had more time to develop hateful views and those with them have had time to seize power and control.
I still think South Korea is worse. They had a literal internet cult where women goaded each other into raping boys to ruin their lives.
It is a consistent feature of life, here, reinforces by a massive bureaucracy that supports it, and again, I do not know why…
I don't either. I even remember backing Morrison on something before the virus started. He's turned out to be a bigger puppet of theirs than even Boris fucking Johnson.
The only answer I can come up with is the Boris Johnson answer - he's not in control, his wife/handler is.
This comes at the same time as the FedGov dedicates $61 million to “tackle violent right wing extremism”, particularly in rural communities, with a particular focus on “conspiracy theorists…
Guess where it is centered?? Fucking Melbourne, of course! Run by a bunch of academics and psychs! 🤦🏻♂️
Yeah, Australia is screwed. And I’m genuinely worried, for myself, and anyone else who
”questions the narrative”…
"Lockdown isn't having any effect on the children."
Wonder how fucked the youngest generation will be.

You don't do wrongdoers a favor by letting them off easy. For their sake, they need atonement. Punishment is the beginning of rehabilitation.
This. Someone who is genuinely remorseful will actually be happy they were appropriately punished. They know they deserved it. But the remorse often doesn't manifest until during or after the punishment when they've had time to reflect.
Exactly.
Of course the pussy passes alive and well in feminist Australia. New Zealand only wishes they were as big a hairy dripping cunt as Australia is.
Nah, NZ is still worse, trust me.
It’s more complicated than that, though, because both have “native” cultures where misogyny and violence against women is literally a core tenet of their “traditional existence”, which is, unsurprisingly, the exact opposite of what the left claims…

The Nordic woman are busy copulating with the rapefugees. Whether they want to or not, and most of them want to. They will fight for their rapists.
Must be the female side of the Viking blood. Ready to sleep with the violent victors and all that.
I was duped. NZ prime minister San Jacinta of Adhominin screeches loudly, but I've not really seen much of out of her lately. Mean while, your grand high priestesses of the Branch Covidians are still appearing on the news all the time.
Oh, I suspect it’s just that Jacinda and her… Ilk, don’t appear as much on global “news”…
We hear much more about her here, though, because, well… It’a Australia’s Canada, after all!!
I assume you heard about the pregnant NZ reporter stuck in Kabul, who literally got more help from the Taliban than from NZ-GOV, though..??
Oh yeah. That's one of the things that I thought made it seem like the feminism was lip service over there. You know, white feminism, where the rich white women get what they want (money, positions of authority, fear) and then tell everyone else the show is over and to fuck off.
South Korea - 11
UK - 9
Australia - 8
NZ - 8
No, the UK is definitely, without question, less feminist than Oz or NZ…
I’ll concede you South Korea, though. And you can have London and Scotland. But England, as a whole? Nup.
Not anymore, at least…
Remember that in the UK, we/they (what do I put? I don't live there now) have Coercive Control, where a woman can use self-defence law against alleged emotional abuse rather than requiring risk of actual harm.
Wait 'till you hear about what just happened in Loundon.
Let me guess, they had another Nazi rally to celebrate National Victims of Male Violence Day or one of their other national days that shouldn't exist.
A literal rapist was removed from the sex offender's list (by a female judge) because the boy wore a skirt.
Remorse and all is great and it's not like I'd call for some kid to get life imprisonment over this, but there's gotta be some sort of actual punishment. They needed to serve some time just to give them a seriously shitty experience like they put that boy though.

I would call for life imprisonment.
If they're this ideologically corrupt as kids, their future path is already set. If they aren't locked away, they'll all be the next Aileen Wournos.

Mainly posted this so you could comment. Australian women seem more unhinged than even their American counterparts.
Yep, I’m here, dude…

When you think about it, an actual cult has control of the country.
cough More Feminine Way cough
Let me guess, like all these other counter-extremism plans, it's run by women, using software made in the UK by other women, and targets "incels".
These bitches need to be dropped off at sleep over with Jamal and fiends.
