I think you could get away with losing truckers and keeping rail workers. Most American rail transport is all cargo and no passengers. There's huge amounts of deliveries from that. Thing is... who's taking it from the depot to the store.
After news from Canada trucks, EU and almost every country immediately set things up and started to organize the same thing. So many are ready already. All truckers from EU are going to gather around 7-8th of February in Brussels, in front of Parliamentary building I believe.

I saw on 7th Fabruary it's organized to protest in every capital city in EU (most possibly in the World as well) and on 14th (Valentine's Day) all EU truckers gather in Brussels, Belgium! Their plans are they stay there until they completely drop mandates, hopefully they'll be have the patience. On previous comment I might've mistakenly wrote normal dates.
