All it'll take are a few couples using it to have boys for a "suitable heir" and it'll be deemed sexist and fall out of use.

Depends on the cost and side effects.

I expect that to happen, mostly because high positioned women tend to be men hating harpies but take in to account that the cost of new technology is high and this type of technology will be no different.

To have any impact it will have to be easily accessible, part of your insurance package. I just do not see it yet, more then that, they will need to convince average women to have only girls, most I know want a pair. Do not get me wrong, this technology is a radical feminist dream and they will push for it but they also need to double push on men are evil propaganda in order to convince people to not want boys.

Fallout's glitchy mutants don't seem so far fetched anymore.

Do you need to edit genes to have sex selection? IVF will make several embryos all you have to so is a doctor determine the sex and it'll quickly start happening. It probably is happening, quietly. Or it'll be done through ultrasound and abortion.

I'd be more afraid of it getting expanded to be able to induce the hermaphrodite mutation. It would make tranny advocates very happy to have all new humans born that way, as it would normalize surgical genital modification. It can be politically spun from legislation that gives children the right of medical autonomy.

Well, let's hope neither path comes to fruition.

Useful idiots are still a thing no matter who you think is an enemy, and sometimes they act before their handlers/masters can react.

Men are already more feminine than prior generations. There's been increased estrogen detected in the water supply in the US.

Yup. I knew about this one too. Same thing for plastic containers for drinks and water bottles.
