I really hate that I have to vet everything now. It's mentally exhausting. How I miss the days when I could just buy a game because it looked interesting, or use software because it was effective.
That is the silver lining. I've saved myself hundreds of dollars the past couple years by canceling subscriptions, and not buying titles by certain companies. It forced me to go through by backlog of games I haven't touched yet.
I used to submit bug reports, fixes and extensions I wrote for open source libraries that I use. After many of them started with that Code of Conduct bullshit I decided it wasn't worth the effort anymore.
Why get involved in a community of narcissistic control-freaks who are more concerned with forcing identity politics on others than anything else? These clowns get offended by variable names and turn technical discussion forums into toxic shitholes.

No you fucking retard, shit like SSSD rapidly generating endless logs (a fucking 1 GB per day!) until/is completely full and the whole system shits itself and dies is a problem, not "not enough Zimbabweans".Many such cases.

I've submitted a handful bug fixes to some pretty big projects. I don't go bug hunting, if something affects me and I feel it's worth the squeeze, I worked it out.
These days, encountering this stuff, I just keep it to myself. Why give back to a community that would rather I not exist?
