No matter how bleak things get: no matter how atomized or isolated they make you feel, remember that you are not alone.
Protests are useless
Right wing protests are more like networking events. When the SHTF, you want to know who you can count on in your community.
Left wing protests are where feminist "allies" (rapists) go to get laid
Plenty of revolutions started as protests.
How many protests are Aussies going to have before they start warming up tar and plucking feathers?
At some point, you gotta shit or get off the pot. If they haven't done anything yet they're never going to do anything.
That’s completely untrue, plenty of “protests” have been used as an excuse for revolution. These are coordinated and intentionally used for that purpose, not sporadic protests.
I think we might be thinking of different revolutions. On one hand, you're right. On the other hand, there's the Romanian Revolution in late 1989. Started as a protest, ended up with a hanged dictator. (Our American friends might add the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia that happened a bit earlier, but I won't, because that was actually a huge clusterfuck and possibly orchestrated, or at least helped along, by the local secret police. However, the way it's usually talked about, it would fit as well.)
I went to the one in my local town, it was ok numbers wise, huge cross section of people. Obviously a lot of people's first protest, basically no organisation to further action though.
