0.89% - hospitalization rate if you get covid with no vaccine
0.01% - hospitalization rate if you get covid with the vaccine
50% - what democrat fanatics believe is your odds of needing hospitalization if you get covid
Maher went on to slam Democrats over a poll that showed "41%" of them believed unvaccinated people have "over 50%" risk of hospitalization when it's actually "0.89%," adding that it's "0.01%" for vaccinated people.
And some of these hospitalizations are for people who are unfortunately already dying of something else already:
But Maher pushed back on the lack of "consensus" on how many people have actually died from COVID, pointing to the recent passing of former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who Maher pointed out had cancer and Parkinson's disease but died of "complications from COVID."
Given that various whistleblowers, PV had a particularly good one, have said outright that the hospitals have been told to report deaths as unvaccinated regardless, I don't even buy those numbers.
The lab rats are dropping like flies, even at public sporting events.
More like neither, faggot.
Even this is probably way off. This study of the VA shows much more reasonable numbers. It's from a single reliable dataset, is by actual scientists who controlled for many factors, and they use death as a good proxy for hospitalization.
A 90% reduction in infections going down to 10%-60% reduction after 6 months, and the net effect of this is you just get infected after 6 months and after that total infection just slightly lagging unvaccinated. So protection against infection is only temporary. Basically worthless for preventing infection.
For deaths it shows vaccinated with 1/5th deaths, which is decent although it's about equivalent reduction individually to taking Vitamin D, or Zinc, or melatonin, antiviral mouthwash (some of crest/total w/o alcohol), etc and is less reduction than early treatment with $4 fluvoxamine (although only 2 studies / 300 people so far). And hey why not more than one? Vitamins and mouthwash are almost certainly independent variables.
If the vaccine reduced death/severity by 50x like the fear-porn says, maybe that would be worth the risk. But if I can get the same reduction by gargling mouthwash as taking an experimental new biotechnology with no track record and seemingly large number of severe side effects, how is that even a choice? That's madness.
They're not even giving this choice.
The source of this number is an opinion piece calculating the total number of hospitalizations among the unvaccinated -- so in other words, unvaccinated people who have never gotten covid are included in the 99.1%.
Actual hospitalization rate at start of covid of infected people was 1%-5%, but I don't know what it is today.
If anybody knows Jimmy Dore, he keeps saying this on his show and it's not correct.
Thanks for the link.
Wish there were trustworthy sources making an honest effort at it, seems like honest sources get attacked and learned to stay quiet, so all you get is hyperbole.
talking about infection or death rates without identifying the age brackets... lets not pretend to be stupid
Lumping all-age together is still an indicator that it's a strong disease and everybody should take it seriously. For the young, that mostly just means don't visit old people if you're sick even if they are vaccinated, rest, take your vitamins.
If ~0.89% of covid hospitalizations went to the hospital last year ...
How many people does that imply were infected by covid last year?
My guess is over 1 billion.
I did the napkin math and if we assume that 1% of unvaccinated people were hospitalized, and 1/10 hospitalizations were deaths (big overstatement), and use the "deaths with Covid" figure of ~350,000, then this implies the entire population of the US (plus all the illegals and travelers) was infected last year.
Bill Maher on the left exists for a similar reason as Jordan Peterson exists on the right: to be a "voice of reason" just past the point where the "unreasonable" have had free reign to do their damage and it's not possible to stop them.
These people said nothing in January.
except - maher has been cancelled before. and he will sometimes speak against the dems ideas.
Wasnt that the original rate in the trials? (or close to it?)
Were there any uncontaminated trials that lasted for more than six months?
What's the hospitalization rate driving to work without a seat-belt?
I bet it's higher.
seatbelt laws are also gay
I'd prefer keeping them on the books.
Regulations written in human blood are typically good ones. Same with maximum occupancy levels for buildings.
Then I assume you also support vaccine mandates. If anything vaccine mandates are MORE legitimate than seatbelt laws because at least vaccine requirements are purported to decrease the risk you impose on other people.
Not really comparable, mostly because occupancy laws are applied to buildings used for "public accommodation" and the seatbelt laws are impositions on individuals.
Maybe a lawyer can chime in to give definitions because I can't be arsed to look this up.
you gonna attack food safety laws next?
OK I will. The USDA, the FDA, and the CDC are all unconstitutional agencies, need to be disbanded, and all of their regulations need to be voided.
Regulation of the quality of consumer products isn't a legitimate function of the federal government. It is a power that is reserved for the states as per the 10th amendment. If the states want to regulate products sold within their borders in a way that aligns with their individual constitutions there is no reason that they can't.
Some of the functions of the USDA and CDC could potentially be folded into the Department of War as they pertain to national security.
Given the FDA's track record with identifying foods that are safe for long-term consumption, the Department of Agriculture's tendencies to turn a blind eye towards large agri-corps violating the law and best practices, and my general mistrust of government, yes.
Now let's see the next three sides of hospitalization in general: Those who took the jab, those who took all the jabs and those who are naturally based
Even dumber, those are hospitalizations WITH Covid, not FROM Covid. The US studies are showing that’s overestimating by 40-60% in children.
The hospitalizations are also overwhelmingly in old and at-risk people which makes it an even dumber metric.
Covid is such a sham. These people aren’t dying from Covid. It’s why the CDC is struggling to come up with even 10% excess mortality in 2020.
