The mainstream coof credulists will say, "Sweden is lower because so many have already had coof!" Which is actually half of a smart thought. Taken to it's logical conclusion they would realize that this means you can't reduce total cases you can only slow them down which means most of these measures are only drawing this whole situation out.
You also seem to see something similar with vaccinations. Months ago you could see low vaccination vs high vaccination states fairly distinctly based on coof cases now the low vaccination states have cases dropping off while high vaccination states are not (at least in the East, in the West ever state is still dropping off). So again even the vaccine seems to just delay the inevitable.

I don't think it's even that. The low vaccination states with high summer COVID rates were in the south. The Pacific Northwest and parts of California with high vaccination rates got hit, and Florida was also hit very badly despite an intermediate vaccination rate. In the US, it's seasonality/geography, not vaccination. If you can find a county animation you can actually see a COVID wave heading south to north along the Appalachians -- now it's headed out from them and hitting the Northeast and Midwest. In Europe the general direction of spread is northeast to southwest.
Sweden's lack of cases may indeed be due to prior infection, though; it doesn't fit the geographic pattern.
Imagine if they really wanted to, they could just intentionally send sick people to Florida (or w/e) to spread disease.
Would anyone be able to stop this, or care? I put nothing past these people, they've already shown they would rather kill people than admit they were wrong.
Tegnell’s strategy in the early stage of the crisis is facing growing criticism in Sweden. The official commission investigating the country’s response has criticised the slow reaction at the start of 2020 and noted that Sweden let the virus spread faster than other Nordic countries. But the commission will not pronounce on the wisdom of the no formal lockdown strategy until next year.
Mattias Karlsson, former leader of the populist Sweden Democrats, told the FT that Tegnell had been “completely wrong” on several issues and that the judgment on him would be “very harsh”. He added: “Especially in the early phase of the pandemic there were a lot of things we could have done that would have made a difference.”
Isn't this guy a far rightist? Sweden is so weird here.
Because it wasn’t as awful as everywhere else when he kept his cool and didn’t freak out… it’s more important in leftism to look like you’re doing something instead of actually doing it.
Also, even NYT called out china for trying to botnet a twitter mob against him.
NYT accusing China of using a botnet when they paid China for clicks to fraudulently inflate clicks for years. They played that one a little close to the nose.
In Sweden, there was a massive scandal about 15 years ago with an experimental vaccine being rolled out for the flu that ended up inflicting neurological damage on hundreds of people, and gave many of them a form of chronic narcolepsy that some of them are still suffering from. The Pandemrix vaccine was rolled out in schools, and a lot of the affected people were children.
This is why the political situation in Sweden is so different. After the Pandemrix scandal, there were huge lawsuits against both the government and the manufacturers. The Swedish government would come up against huge resistance if they attempted to mandate any vaccine.

oh no 100 confirmed cases per 100K, for a disease with a ~99% survival rate. time to lock down the entire country.
But graph show number go up exponentially Im scared
Austria just installed lockdown for the untermenschen err I mean the unvaxxed.
Wouldn't have expected anything else from the land of the fuhrer.
Leftists don't hate the Fuhrer. They envy him and wish they could do to their enemies what he did to his.
send them to work camps only to have them die from supply chain collapse and typhus?
And torture and executions.
Also 0 deaths yesterday (current average: 4).

Yeah, the evil unvaccinated South sent covid to the responsibly vaccinated North.
Or all of the numbers are manufactured bullshit. They can tweak almost every statistic by turning one or two knobs.
Absolutely

Everyone will get it. Unless they actually isolate themselves.
Sweden, yes?
Isn't this guy a far rightist? Sweden is so weird here.
Guys going to get hung for saving his country, liberalism is disgusting.
It's the nationalists who are after him apparently.
Are we still pretending Sweden has nationalists?
How else are you going to characterize Karlsson?
Controlled opposition?

And it was done by the same guy who invented their "hands off" approach now.
The duality of man.

Austria: If Germany won't anschluss, we out anschluss Germany! Look out, Faderlan, here we come!
