Added it to the database.

For those who are curious, there's a database that keeps track of fake hate-crimes such as this:

https://fakehatecrimes.org

It's an excellent resource to followup on a story since these incidents are occurring with more and more frequency as time goes on.
It appears that in modern day culture, being the victim of any sort of "hate-crime" has become social currency to garner attention, sympathy, and even money. In many cases, it's even being weaponized — such as in this case — in order to ruin the lives of people that someone else doesn't like.
This is the sort of society the perpetual victims and crybullies have created; a world where we deal with a nonstop flood of people victimizing themselves for attention.
The harm from this sort of behavior cannot be emphasized enough. Not only does it ruin the lives of those accused, it also seriously diminishes the rare instances where a crime is motivated by hate. These people are hurting their own cause and it shouldn't be tolerated.
Anyone caught perpetrating a fake hate-crime should suffer the same exact legal consequences as those who would have been charged for committing it — and then some.
The same should apply in many other cases of false accusations, too.
We need tough consequences to put an end to this bullshit or it's never going to stop.

Users can add hate crime hoaxes to that site? That's really good to know. Faggit can't censor this.

Honestly at the very least these people need to be fined heavily. They know that a lot of ppl are scared to doubt claims of racism but at this point it’s clear that this needs to end. It needed to end a long time ago but you know what I mean

You see, they are not trying to bring back racism or anything, they "just want to start a conversation". The conversation should be that the demand for racism is bigger then the supply and we should be celebrating while throwing the book at this divisive morons. But it always ends with the POC who did the hate crime being the true victim, somehow. I still can't believe Smollett managed to get away with little to no repercussions.

i absolutely hate this "starting a conversation" faggot nonsense.

ALL WE'VE BEEN ALLOWED TO HAVE FOR THE LAST DECADE IS YOUR CONVERSATION!

Yep and that pisses me off. If racism is bad then all racism is bad. Which mean faking a racial incident. The whole “starting a conversation” excuse is beyond moronic. If SNL wasn’t so woke they would have a field day with this stuff. Chapelle at least mocked Smollet.

To SNL's credit, they did mock it. Can't blame you for missing it since it's woke shit 99% of the time. I don't know anyone IRL who watches it at this point.

Honestly surprised. I haven’t watched it since early 2000s. Loved it in the 90s and as a kid I watched the 70s/early 80s reruns.

Chapelle Show wouldn’t make it I’m sure.

The demand for hate crimes far outstrips the almost non-existent supply.

LIBERAL: There's too much racism in the world! Look! Someone wrote the N-word on this wall!

PERSON B: You wrote that.

LIBERAL: Yes, and it's racist! Isn't that terrible? We have to stop racism! This hate crime is disgusting!

PERSON B: But you're the racist...

LIBERAL: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

But wait, one question on this.... I mean don't get me wrong this is disgusting what the dude did, but I am having trouble understanding what exactly he was arrested for.

I guess I would get it if he was trying to frame this on someone....... but so far doesn't sound like he was targeting anyone or whatever?,, I guess let me put it this way...

I could basically pass out party invitations to a party that doesn't exist, and it say something nasty on them, and I can be arrested for it?! I mean, seriously what was actually done "legally" wrong?

Maybe there is something I am missing? I mean, if I made a fake party invite on this app he used, and someone says something someone doesn't like, I literally could be arrested?! I am sorry but that seems insane. Unless I am missing something, I am not sure I can consider this guy legit to be arrested....I mean what is next I invite people to do a dungeon on WoW, say no [something] people, and lol jk there never was going to be a dungeon, and now the cops show up at my door and arrest me? I mean this is basically the same logic.

Once again.... unless I am missing something... Don't get me wrong this is gross what the dude did but still... well that is the problem with this whole concept of "hate crimes" I guess... Oh maybe it is for impersonating a frat which would be trying to cause them harm to make them look like racists?... ok if it is that then I get it. Maybe that is it?
