I’ll stick with the original. They did a good job with war machine in the comics back in the day. Marvel was dumb to have her replace iron man considering he was one of the biggest characters at the height of the MCU.

Marvel is banking on the cinematic universe to drive the future of their comic book sales. They believe that as long as it's in movie form, people will absolutely love it and they'll rush out to by all of the books. I still maintain that for the most part, they're in for a rude awakening.
They're going to quickly realize that people only stuck around near the tail-end of the original MCU run to see its conclusion. Now that they've gained closure on that part story, Marvel has to get them interested in a brand new one instead.
The biggest problem is, since then, they've gone full retard and have pushed divisive nonsense — even going as far as to attack their own fanbase and tell them to piss off.
When their new line of "woke heroes" hits theaters and inevitably fails, does anyone actually believe they'll own the problem and admit that it's the shit content, insecure self-inserts, and political ideologies that's driving people away?
Hell no. They'll say the problem is two things: First, they'll say it's "dUh biGoTs!" who are simply full of hate for refusing to pay money for an activist's lecturing and power fantasy. The second, which will become the more overall theme after the inevitable backlash, is that the reason people aren't going is because of "Super Hero fatuige." They'll toss in some "people are also scared of Covid so they avoid going out!" and bada-bing, bada-boom. They absolve themselves of their own retarded decisions.
These people are transparent and painfully predictable at this point.
Yup. They'll also find a reason for why that's totally not the fault of the shit content they're creating and how it's something else's fault. Whether that be distributors, price, Covid, brick and mortar stores, bigots, the economy, etc.
All while completely ignoring the booming success that manga has in the west.
