So what happens when China tells Apple that they must be allowed access to the technology or Apple will be denied access to the multi-billion dollar Chinese market? Are we to believe that Apple will just leave China?
some people have misunderstandings
Oh but of course. If people disagree with them they must just "misunderstand."
Reddit turned south as soon as the only one with integrity got 'suicided' so now the rest can rake in profits while turning it into a propaganda platform.
That portion of the memo was written by NCMEC Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships Marita Rodriguez. "I know it's been a long day and that many of you probably haven't slept in 24 hours. We know that the days to come will be filled with the screeching voices of the minority. Our voices will be louder. Our commitment to lift up kids who have lived through the most unimaginable abuse and victimizations will be stronger," Rodriguez wrote.
You put your pictures in iCloud, of course Apple is gonna look at them, or sell them, or do whatever they want with them.
This is what companies like Google openly do. Apple at least claims to encrypt photos uploaded to iCloud and to be unable to do that. This is similar to what mega.nz (says it) does with its uploads.
It's because they (supposedly) cannot inspect things uploaded to iCloud that they want to spy on them like this in the first place on the device before they are encrypted and uploaded to iCloud.
I think the message this should send is that no cloud service should be trusted, and if you really must use one, you should encrypt your files first before uploading them. And I mean everything you're keeping, whether it's a receipt of a donation to Trump or a receipt for a sandwich, should have AES-256 encryption.
The government won't request or demand. They will just declare whatever is a "public crisis" and Apple will volunteer to expand photo scanning for them.
BS - the governments can now, easily, make it law because you’ve proven to them it’s technically feasible. You just claim you’re taking a voluntary stand which has about as much meaning as screwing over developers in your App Store
When it's the "screeching voices of the minority," and it's race, gender, or "gender," that's when you listen, but not when it directly concerns privacy, or by extension, civil liberties. That's just crazy extremists.
Yes, I am sure you will find so much CP on all of those apple devices and nothing else. Those crazy, op-secced to the gills, deepweb pedos with their lofty macintosh rigs won't ever see it coming.
This is totally not a soulless attempt to mass harvest advertizing data at the complete compromise of whatever modicum of privacy the userbase had left. What? "Your" device? Our device.

Tim Cook has destroyed the soul of that company.
Easy when only the creator has principles.

He's no longer worthy of the name Tim Apple.
Why is it always them.
insert extra long speech on how feminists are told to lie by their ideology's leaders and nothing they say can be trusted
If they want to save children, how about banning gender reassignment?
The eternal sephardim

They will scan the images before they go onto the cloud. On your phone
Apple has testified that they always comply with local court and government requests.
It took UK courts 7 years to expand their “child protection” tool to cover “knock off rolexes” and “copyrighted mp3s”
Every company lawyer I know is preparing a lawsuit to get their products covered.
“Build it and they will come”

Yeah, just like FB and Twitter don’t censor at government request.
Didn't Psaki say they tell FB which posts to take down?
Accidentally, yeah.
Being in the minority does not make someone wrong.

Nothing like doubling down on authoritarianism by throwing in some condescending bitchiness.
We will claim that "It's for your safety". Half of the people will follow and the other half will be called a minority.
Less profits? Please, we're too big to fail. The government will never let it happen and we have their dirty pictures.

As always, projection. I have a feeling the shrieking of the actual minority will get a whole lot louder as resistance mounts.

If you've been using cult of apple shit for this long, you really don't care about privacy or your rights. So, yes, it is the screeching minority.
