that will not stop pealpe calling the ship by it's real name. i know it wont stop me
Why stop at just that? May as well just put it as "acknowledging all true Star Wars canon pre-Disney." Fuck everything that came after that.
They really are disconnected from the Fan base. How many Han shot first t shirts will it take for them to get that changing things does not go over very well. And Bobba Fett worked for the bad guys. Let him have a cool bad guy ship name.
Anakin's mother was a slave.
Rey was a slave in all but name, she was straight up sold to Unkar Plutt. (I'm pretty sure her being sold is still true, even though her parents did it to try to protect her, I havent actually watched TLJ or TRoS).
Finn could very easily be argued as a slave.
The slave children they leave on the casino planet.
Lots of slavery in these stories.
Vader did nothing wrong.
Anakin was a slave.
While they're at it, let's change the "slave Leia" costume name to "starship Leia".
Carrie Fisher already did.
Can't have a bad guy's ship have an evil sounding name, now can we?
"bad guy"
It seems like they don't even want the bad guys to do bad things anymore. Consider how these kinds reacted to Shield Hero and Goblin Slayer.
They made movies to make their classic villains out to be misunderstood victims.
It's not "almost like" it's exactly what they're doing.
That's true, and it's fucking asinine. Hopefully enough people start getting tired of it that Disney starts losing money on it. I want Disney to lose money on everything at this point, but they've got a lot of sources of income that need to die before they really start hurting.
Has PETA declared a fatwa against whatever weirdo made Cruella? And if not, why not?
All villains now must have a redemption arc and be misunderstood.
The new thrawn series is pretty much all thrawn dealing with rogue imperials and not him ruthlessly hunting down rebels.
Bad guys? What are those
Everything's morally greeeeeeey
Not when we have a new series with him as the protagonist, and as a non white they have difficulty writing him as fully a bad guy. There needs to be some softening lest they reveal themselves as a racist vilifying non whites.
