Having another kid pop up might be too much. I'd believe them giving him a young female research assistant or something though.
Sadly, I could see them doing that, but she'd also have to "out-Indy" Indy. She'd prove to be better at archaeology, physicality, and one-liners by showing up his old ass at every turn, and by the end of the movie he'd either turn over the hat and whip to her, or at some point during the film he straight-up dies and she takes them up herself to finish out the adventure. Wouldn't put it past Woke Hollywood to do so, considering how much they cocked-up the sequel trilogy for Star Wars.

I don't know how well the research has aged, but there was 2003 study that indicated that 16 million men worldwide were descended from Genghis Khan. That would indicate that about 1 in 200 people are his descendent, so it wouldn't be that farfetched. However, her knowing it in the `960s would be.
Yeah, but those humans are all CHINESE, or have one in their ancestry that isn't Ghengis Khan himself.
In fact, what I remember of reading about that at the time, was that it wasn't so many "men", but CHINESE men specifically.
Granted, chinks have crossbred like everyone else since then, but as far as Canada goes, I think it was mostly the ones who got stranded here after the gold rush/CPR didn't pan out for them; the more recent ones with options seem to tend to breed with their own kind.
Which is what I was alluding to, to give 'em the definite chinky linky for the CCP fans.
