I'm currently going through Babylon 5 on HBO Max (just started the second season) and I was chuckling to myself because according to the woke left and their cheerleaders in entertainment media there were no women or minorities in TV/Movies prior to a few years ago. Probably the biggest example of this gaslighting was during the obnoxious overhyping of Black Panther. It was like nobody remembered that Blade was a fairly popular movie, and I don't remember them obsessing over the fact that the lead was black. I actually thought Black Panther was pretty good but he seemed to be upstaged in his own movie by the other characters. The second biggest example was the 2016 Ghostbusters. That was the first time I ever noticed the "if you don't like this movie you are an evil person" agenda from critics. They also seemed to act like there was never a movie with a mostly female cast.

I am a firm believer that this obsession with representation/diversity has been the worst thing to ever happen to entertainment. I also never would have dreamed that it would infect the gaming world. It seems to be a very arrogant position to take as well. As a life long comic book collector I can attest to the fact that there are women who are into comics, but I question anyone male or female who can't shut up about how they aren't represented or think that everything must cater to them. You would think these massive companies would know better than to hire people who seem to hate the product and couldn't be bothered to study the lore.

I remember telling one of these diversity obsessed people online that The Cosby Show was one of if not the most popular show of the 80s and they said that it doesn't count because they didn't examine race/black experience. I just stopped talking to him. Although sadly it is those idiots that the companies will bend over backwards for.

I always wanted to ask some of these people that if they are so bothered by the fact that most gamers/comic book fans/sci-fi fans are white males then why don't they find a new hobby.

Remember, we're talking about people for whom truth is a malleable thing - they don't even use "the truth", instead preferring "their truth".

In other words, these are people who will use whatever lie advances their cause at any given moment, and will switch to a new lie as soon as that becomes convenient.

It doesn't work unless you have a giant media apparatus at your back to try and cover up your wild inconsistencies with overwhelming propaganda. I think the media firms backing this up quite like the idea of a world where the world is what they say it is, so they're content to play along.

It's not about making space, it's about taking space. The issue isn't that they want something, it's that hwhite hmales like it, and therefore, it is evil, and must be destroyed.

Fun thought activity: Think back to all the times that California and the blue parts of Texas have protested cattle farming. Hamburgers aren't Green Energy enough, veganism, animal cruelty, the lot of it, all of them. Now, those areas also have the highest % of population of hispanic influence. How many have gone on a tirade against barbacoa? You don't see it. Every traditionally Hwhite Hmale associated meat culture item? Protests. You'd think there'd be one person out there saying "damn mexicans need to stop eating meat tacos", but no, not from what I've seen.

Because it's not about the item. It's not about the ramifications of the item. It's not about the production process, the activity, the efforts involved... It's entirely about the target market. There is no greater evil, than a hwhite hmale liking something unironically. That thing must be destroyed, simply put, according to their religion.

Similar to how the woke mafia doesn’t go after rap music

They also seemed to act like there was never a movie with a mostly female cast.

Unless you make the movie all-female as a virtue-signal, it doesn't count. But if you do, then you can make as awful of a movie as you would want, and no one is allowed to criticize it.

I remember telling one of these diversity obsessed people online that The Cosby Show was one of if not the most popular show of the 80s and they said that it doesn't count because they didn't examine race/black experience.

Actually, that is the only way to examine the black experience. Just normal people doing normal things, as opposed to the whole point of the show being race. Unless one is a full-time race hustler, one does not go around thinking about race all the time. What they want is a special kind of 'black' experience, that of 5% of elite, mulatto university graduates who make $250,000 for being professional blacks. (Note that working class blacks don't get benefits for being black. If you are a black coal miner (even without the dust), you don't paid more for being black. It's advocated by the elites for their own kind, screwing over other classes that they despise as 'deplorables'.)

I always wanted to ask some of these people that if they are so bothered by the fact that most gamers/comic book fans/sci-fi fans are white males then why don't they find a new hobby.

The whole point is to hijack stuff of other people and wreck it. Why do viruses infect healthy hosts?

Just normal people doing normal things

You can have it both ways if you have good writers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5D2RvIQwQE

The "root" is Critical Race Theory, from which Intersectionality was spun off from in the late 80s. Even in the 90s, these ideologies were considered fringe in academia, but around the turn of the millennium, CRT started seeing widespread acceptance in academia, which also opened the door for the intersectionality oppression olympics. Once something takes hold in academia, it metastasizes everywhere due to the nature of "education" being the gateway to influential professions. You see it as gaslighting, which isn't wrong, but it's legitimized gaslighting through subverted institutions.

But even that's not really the root, because CRT is just a spin off of Critical Theory, which itself is a spinoff of Marxism.

I always wanted to ask some of these people that if they are so bothered by the fact that most gamers/comic book fans/sci-fi fans are white males then why don't they find a new hobby.

Because those hobbies, by merely existing, are doing real harm to minorities, or so they claim. It's not enough to find "non-racist" new hobbies, they have to DESTROY everything that they consider to be racist. They have to actively be "anti-racist" or else they become racist through inaction.

Everything has to be examined, and any hint of racism/sexism/bigotry needs to be extinguished. It must be stamped out. There is no such thing as "live and let live".

At least, that seems to be what they think

Lol.

Your mistake is believing they actually care about these hobbies. The hobby for them is the misery inflicted by ruining other people's fun. That's their hobby.

It's because context can be more powerful than content. It doesn't matter what the truth is exactly, if you can bend and spin something to make your narrative stronger then you can more easily influence other people. This is the "big lie" in action.

In fact if you stand against the truth, because admitting the truth would damage your narrative. The most effective thing is to take an exactly opposite stance to it. This is because most people trust things based on consensus. So if everybody is saying the same thing, it becomes easier to say it yourself.

The anti-white, anti-male, and anti-christian narratives make it so they can never admit those groups helped create Western society as we know it today. They must be blamed for everything, even things that they were trying to prevent.

To be blunt, it's not about you. It's about the in-group and reinforcing the necessity of fighting an existential threat.

We know that these characters have existed for ages now, and we can easily go back to the 90s and further. Hell, Stargate SG-1 is about a team that has a woman as second in command and a heavily respected (alien) black man, with much of the over-arching storylines revolving around fighting against slave owning warlords (Goa'uld).

This lie is about manufacturing a world for the youth to be rebels in. The lie is about giving purpose to people that otherwise lack purpose. If the problem doesn't exist, then what purpose do they actually have in life? What are they fighting against?

The gaslighting isn't targeted at you. It's targeted at themselves.

More to the point, that younger generation might start looking around to see who’s really fucking up their lives... and most of those clues lead to the Fed and Congress

Did England have Baptists? Lol

3

Still does. Didn't catch like some other protestant religions, but it was still part of the English Separatism movement.

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

I can't picture a Baptist with a limey accent.

"Oi, got a loicense for them indulgences, do ya mate?" Just doesn't quite have the same ring as a good ol' Kentucky snake handling church preaching on how Roman Catholicism is the whore of Babylon.

I guess it's culture shock.

It was a two-pronged reasoning for their attacks, they wanted to take something from you that you enjoyed, they wanted money/fame/power.

The company's response has always been the same AOC shit: 1 negative response means 1 million who are just too polite/busy, but feel the same way. Must chase new customers to expand appeal or die in niche market as it collapses.

These two are 69ing slugs and both deserve to die.
