We are lifting the disastrous lockdown forced onto us by dictator Trump. -Cuomo in a week probably.

Will de Blasio allow it? He seems to be enjoying the private baseball games and romantic evenings in Times Squares.

Despite Biden's pledge to continue the lockdowns, Cuomo now seems to have flipped his stance against keeping the economy closed. My guess is he's just now realizing how deep in debt the state is now that those with money and means have already fled, taking their tax base with them. The small businesses that could not leave have either shut down, or been destroyed by the leftist mobs roaming freely through NYCs streets. Additionally, by standing against the President, he can position himself as a 'strong' Democrat and try and cultivate support among the anti-lockdown crowd (and use all of Trump's reasons to lift the lockdown in the process).

I've thought they'd be worried about debt and tax receipts since May, but they haven't acted as though they were. I figured the coastal states were all banking on Biden bailing them out.

I'd love to see the books on states that did hard lockdowns like NY, Michigan, and California, vs states like South Dakota or Florida.

I can't speak for the other states, but even if Biden were just going to only bail out CA, they're going to need to print a LOT more money.

My guess is it's getting harder by the day to blame Trump and he is afraid his constituents will realize it was him and his cronies all along that made their lives hell not the president that has no meaningful power to do so whatsoever.

This gets at something I noticed right after the election, when Biden was crowned by the media and all the stories about Trump disappeared.

The anti-Trump/pro-lockdown people were propagandized to the point of subconsciously making the mental connection between Trump and lockdowns, at least where I live. Suddenly, as if out of nowhere, the people that were most vocal about disliking Trump and wanting people to just "listen to Fauci" were not cool with the lockdowns. It's as if they were confused why they were still in timeout.

You need the stores to put the merchandise back on shelves otherwise there's no fun in "protesting" them.

Well, color me geniunely shocked. I was sure these numbnuts would keep it going until the bitter end. Maybe they ARE smart enough to realize they are in danger by keeping this going.
