I remember when those happened seeing janet reno in press conference pretty much frothing at the mouth about how nobody is above the law. And when she said "the law" you knew she meant her capability to kill them and their family.
Well, those incidents brought about a rather explosive response from legitimately radicalized rightists that spooked the feds so badly, they didn't attempt any more over-the-top oppressive mass murders of American citizens in the Waco/Ruby Ridge style, not even when they had the chance and media cover at the Bundy ranch (until now, apparently). But I guess all lessons are forgotten in time unless regularly practiced.
The OKC bombing glows in the dark. Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, and multiple witnesses have all maintained there was a third bomber. A FOIA request was filed for the security tapes, and the minutes when the truck pulls up to the building are missing.
I've heard this theory before, but not a good answer as to why the feds would stage the bombing in the first place. If it was to reduce public sympathy for and the growth of militias, it seems to have failed pretty badly - the Clinton administration evidently didn't feel public opinion had changed enough to let them massacre the Montana Freemen a year later (and even 20 years later the Obama admin. didn't dare turn the Bundy ranch standoff into another Ruby Ridge either, as I had said) and militias continued to grow after the bombing anyway.
My brain misfires every time I read or hear a leftist call the right "intolerant".
Followed by saying "What's great is that COVID is spiking in all the red states, right now. So, that's great. Because either those people won't come out to vote for Trump, you know the red states, or a lot of them are sick or dying."
Not surprised. The legal field is fully of crazies like this. We saw multiple stories of attorneys getting arrested for rioting this past summer, and I'm fairly certain I know one or two attorneys/law students who would probably say that unironically.
Some of the Law Societies here in Canada tried to impose an annual and mandatory "Statement of Principles" as a condition of licensing, although the motion was ultimately repealed and defeated in Ontario at least in 2019.
The requirement is that each lawyer sign onto a statement that acknowledges “their obligation to promote equality, diversity and inclusion generally, and in their behaviour towards colleagues, employees, clients and the public.”
Reportedly, he’s now been fired for those comments.
But make no mistake, it’s not because PBS found this out, it’s because WE found this out.
The bug is people noticed.
There will be Wacos/Ruby Ridges very, very soon.
They are accelerating at a speed that I never thought possible.
This really won't end well for anyone.

The last time I saw this strategy employed was by a group who called themselves "The Evil Horde".
Got to give them points for honesty at least.
According to this, PBS has already fired him. They knew he was a hot potato.
Beginning not to trust self-reported news now.
PBS staff had no problems with Mr. Gulag before the Veritas reporting.
My brain misfires every time I read or hear a leftist call the right "intolerant". That level of hypocrisy should not be possible.

With the rise of the right wing nazis, I think we should focus on building holocaust shelters where we can send all the jews.
