So what are we all drinkin tonight, boys?
posted 5 years ago by Booker 5 years ago by Booker +26 / -0

Me, I got this gallon of Bulleit Rye that I've rigged up through a firehose. Wife's got her usual boxed wine - we had it delivered by the pallet. There's a pretty good chance we're both going to be "working" from home tomorrow.

Good for you dude. I'm actually building a workout bench for myself this weekend. I know a lot of people are feeling demoralized, but I've never been more motivated in my life. Chads rise up

How much did that run you, if you don't mind my asking? I've been thinking about getting a power rack and joining the home gym master race, but haven't looked into it too hard yet

Not to blackpill further, but with the dickery we all knew was coming last night, what can Pence even do? Even if he rejects electors and gives Trump the win, with a D majority House and Senate, what stops them from forcing through another entirely partisan impeachment immediately after and removing Trump, then Pence before he appoints a VP, leaving us with president Pelosi?

I think you still need 2/3 majority for removal in the Senate. The majority rule that Harry Reid changed I think was just for approving justices, could be wrong though. I don't want to OD on blackpills, but yeah things aren't looking too good. We're dangerously close to one party rule and President Kamala would accelerate us right off the cliff.

2/3rs for removal is in the constitution. They can't easily overturn that. However I expect them to try and change the Senate rules to end the need for 60 votes for Cloture (ending the filibuster) on all legislation.

Georgia is now a blue State. People have been ignoring the demographic shift. Texas will be blue by 2028 with all the companies from California doing what abolitionists did to the Kansas Territory in the 1850's. It may happen in 2024 if they make 11M current illegals citizens.

This election was for all the marbles and the right/GOP just lost. Unfortunately there isn't a "tea party" revival that's going to happen this time around. Trump was a protest vote by the base against the establishment and it confirmed what a lot of people in the GOP suspected: that the GOP is a party without ideas nor a spine.

I think they’d have far more than a 2/3 majority. The entire uniparty is out for trumps blood.

I think I've still got some vanilla porter in the fridge, but I don't know if I'm gonna be drinking anything before the weekend. Gotta claw my way out of bed at 5:30 in the morning all week and I already have enough problems getting to sleep without throwing booze in there.

After Friday there will definitely be drinking to celebrate a new job and the $45k raise that's coming with it.

Man, I can't even drink excessively til Friday. Gotta raid on ffxiv tonight and run dnd tomorrow. Friday though, probably gonna make an excess of Gin and tonics. Also got some Ardburg 10 for Christmas, but scotch feels more like a celebratory drink than a depression in

What's your gin of choice? I do love Hendrick's, but Beefeater is cheap as dirt and actually pretty damn good with a little lime and a slice of cucumber.

Been drinking a lot of a local brand. Hendricks and Tanqueray are both pretty good. Beefeater as a budget gin is good too, had that a lot back in college. Some people really like Bombay Sapphire, but I never got into it.

Next time I hit up the liquor store I'm planning on trying a bottle of the Botanist, heard good things

I liked my first bottle of Botanist a lot better than my second. Just didn't hit me right.

I’d recommend a bottle of 47 monkeys if you can find it. nikka Coffey gin if you’re wanting a more citrusy forward gin.

If you’re into whiskeys, the Nikka Coffey Grain and Coffey Malt are also just nuts how good they are.

Hard to find though. The Coffey refers to the still they are distilled using and idk if it’s the Japanese attention to detail or what but they’re my favorite whiskeys under 100$ a bottle

I can't imbibe in alcohol any more. Stomach issues.

I do, however, have some Bubba Kush live resin in a vaporizor cartridge. And some Northern Dew oil.

As well as a few T3s they gave me for the broken arm. :) (It does fuckin' hurt, tho.)

I don't drink and I'm not an American, why are you all drinking anyway, the Trump protest thing?

Shaping up for Dems to control the senate, as well as the house and presidency. They'll have tiny majorities (in the house they actually lost seats), so their jobs won't be easy. And their caucus is falling apart with internal squabbles. I don't really think it's all doom and gloom necessarily, and the Republicans haven't been much better than the alternative anyway. I'm usually just upset whenever there's united government since deadlock is way preferable.

I bought some Foursquare rum for Christmas. Everyone is chasing bourbon and rye so it's a lot easier to get the fancy rum instead.
