It is now all on Mike Pence. One last chance to save our Republic.

a lot of people have the power to do something and so far none of them have done anything except talk.
Even then, some of them never talked to begin with.
RIP US, we had a good run
Honestly, if people just let this shit slide then yeah, we deserve the collapse.
I guess we'll see tomorrow but a whole lot of "both sides are shit"-ers are saying that they'll just do it this once, and people want to return to a normal, boring president. (Like wondering when biden's going to be declared mentally unfit to serve is normal, but hey...) And the riots will magically stop.
Oh would you look at that, the idea is still torching cities and attacking people!
Seriously, we deserve whatever hell a biden presidency would bring, i just wish i wasn't stuck here for it. Were going to get a double fucking dose between the """refugees""" and unchecked illegal immigration down here in texas.
We will not go gentle into that good night.
Sorry, but Pence isn't going to do shit
Not to get fed-posty, but if the republic is going to be saved it has to be done by the people.
Openly resist Biden's executive orders considering lockdowns
Constantly protest the legitimacy of his office
And get prepared for a watering of the tree if it becomes necessary, and I goddamn hope it doesn't.
Biden presidency?
We're on the cusp of hyperinflation.
Raw materials prices are skyrocketing, food prices are skyrocketing, virtually every city and every state is in the red at this point.
We now produce more debt than gdp and it won't stop growing. It can't stop growing, nothing is being done to fix it. At this rate by the end of January we'll have minted more money than has ever existed before the start of covid.
We aren't making money but we're printing inordinate sums to prop up this dead whale we're stuck in the belly of.
The only way I see out is a full Hitler style nationalization of resources and production and the abolishment of the fed. Nothing else has ever worked.
Right now we're standing on the edge of hell and most don't even realize it yet.
Your options are war or death.
If the people refuse war, we deserve to die.
I don't think he's gonna do shit, but if he crosses the rubicon, my dick will be harder than diamond.
Please Mr Pence, King of Tradcucks, Bringer of Lightning. Save us.
I really hope this is a blind and that Trump realizes he can't depend on any of these GOPe swap creatures.
Maybe Pence is less swampy than most (I don't know one way or the other), but I'm pretty sure he's not a Samson-esque "destroy the Temple and sacrifice myself to smite my enemies" figure like Trump would need in the position.
I am pretty sure no such authority exists, because if it did, then there would be no limits on any sitting vice-president just disqualifying whoever he did not like.
The authority does exist. That I am certain of.

The question is will Pence do it? That I am not certain of.
What absolute nonsense. If it exists, why on earth did Al Gore not use it to crown himself president in 2000? Why has any time when the incumbent party lost not thrown out the results based on claims about fraud?
It doesn't exist, and you're being set up to hate Pence, who is an honorable man, a good man, for not doing what he has no authority to do.
If there's one thing to learn from the history of the US Constitution, it's that the text and rules matter significantly less than the will of politicians and the willingness of people to accept their decisions. Gore was a weak man and the public had accepted the idea that Bush was the president-elect. A substantial portion of the public has not accepted Harris as president-elect, so it's a question of whether Pence is a strong-willed man.
Because in 2000 it was establishment Democrat Al Gore vs. establishment Republican George Bush.
The establishment would never burn itself down because the wrong establishment guy won.
I assume if he does it, all hell breaks loose and it's going to force the courts to assess why he would do it.
But this is also the first I've heard of this, so I don't really know.
