WAB is usually the guy I go to for reviews. Good reviews and his opinions are generally sane, unlike the usual game journos. Probably why "the algorithm" doesn't like him.
I mean, its from the guys who made the Witcher which when it isn't boring, is awful to play. If not for the story/characters that game would have been in the pit with Lords of the Fallen.
I don't know what people were expecting, it feels like the meme of how bad it is has overtaken the reality of its flaws.
That doesn't change that the game is no worse to play than the previous game they made with those "core" devs. Its a bog standard FPS RPG, if you've played one you played them all. The same as Borderlands, the new Deus Ex games, or the Bethesda/Obsidian Fallouts almost to a T.
And as your complaint was about its boringness to play, that's the only metric to judge it on.
I don't want to defend the game like this, because its full of fucking retarded shit including SJW pandering all over their social media, but people are very much overreacting to how bad it is without any relative context to both its own genre (see above) or the previous CDPR games. Because people bought into their own hype about "BASED POLES" and "WITCHER 3 (after a dozen patches, only thinking about the story) MASTERPIECE".

I had to back a year to find a game I'd also played just to see what he thinks about something I knew. This guy seems very fair and objective.
