The problem is that this gives that person power. YOU'RE the one who gets fired so why let them win? The biggest way to survive her is never use pronouns and always refer to this person by name. You can't be accused of misgendering them and they can't control your speech.
The only selling point for "Bros" is that it's a gay romcom. That's it.
We've seen so many gay movies, gay characters, gay tv shows, etc and it's normalized now. I can't turn on the TV without seeing a gay couple in commercials, or ads for RuPaul or some other gay themed show, and don't get me started on "Pride Month". Now that homosexuality has been so normalized in culture it's not special anymore. So what does Bros offer that's new and unique? Not a damn thing.
The famous line from "Brokeback Mountain" was "I wish I could quit you".
Looks like they can.
Seriously, though, a movie like this might have made waves 20 or even 10 years ago, but what exactly is new about gays in movies these days? We've seen gay people in Marvel movies and even in Star Wars.
They're gay, whoopdie do. Do you have anything else? No? Okay, move along.
Damn, nice! The news media pulls shit like this all the time. Way to go, Chapelle!!
