Yeah, "reality therapy", good idea. Since the Pope is such a loving socialist, lets talk about the realities of socialism.

Believe it or not, I researched moving to Chile once. It had nice freedoms, but it seemed most of the people didn't seem to want the freedoms they had. It turns out that concern was justified. Of course, it's hard to say if this election was rigged or not. Socialists always cheat. Also, Chile has a mass immigration problem from other Latin American countries too.

The fundamental issue is that the truth is extreme. Look at man kind in any other area, we went from mathematical equations, to putting a man on the moon. We went from laws of motion, to special relativity and quantum mechanics. We went from basic addition and subtraction, to infinite sets of infinite series. We went from vacuum tubes, to billions to transistors on a chip operating at several gigahertz.

In any area of man kind, we have this fundamental drive to take truths and push them to their extreme ends. That includes government and liberty. Extreme liberty leads to extreme technology, innovation, growth, ability, prosperity and happiness. We've all had a taste of it, the massive innovation on the internet, in cell phones, in computers, and so on. But they want to take it to the other extreme, extreme control. That leads to extreme genocide, extreme death, like socialist ideas always do. That's what so many people don't understand. There is no middle ground, there can not be, it's not in the nature of humanity, or even this universe. Either you allow people the liberty to be "racist", "misogynist", "hateful" or whatever, or you put in a control structure that will lead to the complete and total extermination of humanity.

I wonder if it ever occurred to them. If they really believe in worker ownership over the companies, they are free to buy stocks in the stock market.

All I can say is thank God for the GPL, and open source. If they get too woke, it shouldn't be to hard to fork off Linux and go our own way.

I wish it was that simple, but it won't work. Communists never work that way. They always take existing institutions, and expand them. The very nature of any government program is communistic, because you are forced to pay for them no matter how stupid and incompetent they are. That is their starting point, they always take the existing pressure points and expand them incrementally, and the armies of bureaucrats who want more power and money, are always happy to go along with it.

To stop communism in society, you need systemic changes. Kill the central banks, kick government out of the money business and use money like cryptos or gold, kick the government out of schooling, health care, and retirement.

For the longest time, the global warmers engaged in disappearing weather station fraud. More northern weather stations would mysteriously disappear from the data, making the averages seem warmer. Then NASA came out with some satellites, and the human factor in measuring temperature disappeared and with it the supposed warming trend came to a screeching halt. They learned their lesson, and so now their focus has been on the ocean, and more specifically deep ocean temperatures. But the thing is, once again, that requires a large presence of the human factor. Leaves lots of room for data they read, data that they selectively don't choose to include.

Anyhow, all the researchers have gotten the message. Do ocean fraud, or don't get funding. It's that simple.

The allegations of blackmail seem to have evidence that backs it up. Until we get evidence that backs up accusations of sex trafficking, they are full of shit.
