That's why I wrote it, because it has that creepy vibe of "shit this could actually happen" running under it.

The scariest sci-fi futures are the ones you can realistically see happening. I think that is a huge reason why the Matrix and Terminator films were so successful.

Alcohol poisoning is what you are describing, this article describes something completely different.

Lots of people die from alcohol poisoning. This guy didn't.

I'm not sure if you can call it 'Alternate History' because it could feasibly come true but if you want to read a sci fi book about how affirmative action, nepotism and hiring unqualified women destroyed the Earth and sent humanity into space I'm looking for beta readers for my manuscript at the moment.

"JPMorgan takes its record-keeping obligations seriously," the bank said in a statement.

How amusing.

According to the SEC, JPMorgan has been unable in at least 12 civil securities-related regulatory probes to comply with subpoenas and document requests for communications that had been permanently deleted.

Whoops!

The deletions occurred after JPMorgan's corporate compliance technology department, which had been trying unsuccessfully to delete some communications from the 1970s and 1980s, sought help from an outside vendor managing the bank's email storage.

Outside Vendor = Federal Government or Epstein Associate. Notice how they aren't named.

According to the Times, Biden told about 130 guests in attendance at the fundraiser: “The reason why Xi Jinping got very upset in terms of when I shot that balloon down with two boxcars full of spy equipment in it is he didn’t know it was there.”

“No, I’m serious. That’s what’s a great embarrassment for dictators, when they didn’t know what happened,” Biden said.

The Times reported that “other U.S. officials were surprised on Tuesday night that the president would discuss the sensitive information in a public setting.”

An official briefed on the intelligence who spoke on the condition of anonymity told the outlet that Biden’s remarks accurately reflected the American government’s private assessment.

And for the crowning jewel of his amazing mental decline:

He also reportedly tried to assure donors about China, saying, “Don’t worry about China…I mean, worry about China, but don’t worry about China. … No, but I really mean it. China is real — has real economic difficulties.”

Quoting Karinne Jean-Pierre, Levine said "your identity is not your weakness, it is your superpower." He added that "we all have superpowers, we're superheroes” in reference to transgender identity in youth. Levine and Jean-Pierre have both touted the Biden administration's preponderance of LGBTQ+-identifying staff.

"We aren't marketing it towards kids! We're just using terminology to confuse them based on entertainment they watch!"

The teacher replied, “Exactly! Pride is saying ‘I include everybody. Yours is saying I exclude anybody except these two people. They're including everybody.”

The students objected and one said, “So they have rights that we don't.”

He gets it.

I can't speak for other mods but the one making the complaint involved posting fruits and vegetables that could be construed as sexual to keep all the posts NSFW but avoid posting porn. That's what they nailed them for trying to approve.

Newton had led Disney’s diversity and inclusion initiatives since 2017, coordinating with various teams to produce entertainment “that reflects a global audience and sustains a welcoming and inclusive workplace for everyone,” as per a profile on the company’s website.

Newton plans to join the corporate board of another company and focus on the creative company she owns, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.

Don't get too excited, looks like someone else already hired her for their board. I bet they won't announce that hire...

Newton’s direct reports will be led by Julie Merges, the senior vice president of talent acquisition, on an interim basis, according to an internal note from Disney’s chief human resources officer, Sonia Coleman.

Out with the old, in with the new. Of course the 'Chief' HR employee will take over the Diversity role.

Because it doesn't seem like the top mods could afford the whale lifestyle.

Special Interest Groups pay them directly to allow or remove content so Reddit can pretend they aren't involved. They make a lot of money by moderating based on how companies tell them.

Actually all the replacements are Filipinos who got flown in by the hundreds specifically to take over the nursing jobs from the intelligent ones who didn't want the clot shot.

Right now if you go to a hospital in Oregon you'll hear whatever the hell Filipinos speak before any English.

The method they are using is obscene. The mods log in, approve something, then are immediately logged out and locked out across the account. Every mod who tries to approve it has the same treatment.

It is like firing someone by putting a bag over their head and dragging you out onto the street. Kind of amusing to see.

The middle ones, the 'biggest mods' pay Reddit a LOT of money to keep their status so they are untouchable. Those are the worst of them too.

These are the ones who refuse to pay a lot ($5k is nothing compared to what some of the bigger ones have given) and are the ones willing to fight the admins. They are just being replaced, likely by alts of the 'biggest mods' but I can't confirm that.

They are bullying the biggest mods out of their positions if they don't cowtow.

“I’m on the picket line because I think we’re very undervalued and the hospital just does not respect us enough to give us a good and fair contract for how much we’ve sacrificed in the past couple years,” Anderson said.

Remember that these are the scabs who took the mRNA shots and refused to support their colleagues who wouldn't.

Nurses on the picket line Monday morning complained that the hospital has put profits ahead of both its patients and its staff. They told OPB they have to work with subpar equipment and that they don’t have enough sick leave and aren’t fairly paid.

I believe they get paid around 80k a year currently.

“We were very clear in our communications to ONA that our economic proposals following a work stoppage will be very different and not nearly as lucrative as the package they walked away from,” reads the email, which was shared with OPB by two sources. ONA is the Oregon Nurses Association, the union representing Providence’s striking staff.

Meanwhile the ONA told them a strike would halt all progress, but the dumb tarts did it anyways.

Walker said three elements of Providence’s final offer were contingent on nurses not striking: retroactive pay, a ratification bonus of $2,500, and 30 additional hours of paid time off.

THEY TURNED THIS OFFER DOWN.

Providence Portland Medical Center had been able to reach its target census of about 300 patients on Monday, a 25% reduction from normal, according to Gentry. She said that after a brief transition period Monday morning when ambulances were diverted elsewhere the hospital was able to start accepting new patients in the emergency department again. Providence has hired temporary nurses to fill in while staff nurses are on strike this week.

They don't even have that much work to do...they are complaining about LESS WORK THEN NORMAL.

In the days leading up to the strike, staff nurses – more than 90% of whom voted to strike – said they wanted respect, improved compensation and better working conditions.

Entitled scabs.

Providence reported that its latest offer to the nurses at Providence Portland Medical Center included an average wage increase of 12% in the first year of the contract, followed by 3% raises in the two following years, and an additional 10 hours of paid time off per year of the three-year contract.

Providence says its last offer included up to eight weeks of fully paid disability leave

EIGHT WEEKS.

Merkley said that he has seen, through his wife’s experience, how nurses’ frustration has reached a boiling point, first, as a wave of retiring baby boomers led to short staffing, and then as nurses cared for the sick and dying during the pandemic, often at personal risk, and with inadequate support from Providence.

“It takes an awful lot for nurses to strike. It really shows how strongly they feel that Providence has gone off track,” Merkley said. “Rather than complaining about paying travel nurses so much, why don’t we treat the people that we have better so that they want to stay with us?”

Unbelievable that a Democrat Senator doesn't mention the huge amount fired for refusing the mRNA shot.

Perhaps something he wanted to do but Project Veritas wouldn't let him? I imagine BlackRock goes after this stuff pretty harshly.

I wonder if this is the only real journalism we'll get, rich individual citizens using social media to put the information out there?

Surprised I haven't seen this on here, it is the perfect storm of black privilege.

Local officials were unsure of why he was freed from prison in California after a eight year hit-and-run sentence

UNSURE why he was released early? Uh, his family is black and in politics so he's basically untouchable.

Horrifying video shows the moment Derrick John Thompson, 27, smashed into the car carrying Sabiriin Ali, 17, Sahra Gesaade, 20, Salma Abdikadir, 20, Sagal Hersi, 19, and Siham Adam, 19, officials said.

Thompson has a criminal record that includes a 2018 hit-and-run in California that gave the woman life-changing injuries. She spent several weeks in a coma.

He was given an eight-year sentence, with 502 days as credit for time already served and another 75 days credit for good behavior.

Thompson was freed and on Friday is suspected of being behind the wheel of a speeding car that tried to flee a police officer when it crashed into a vehicle with the five women on Lake Street as they were getting ready for a friend's wedding the next day.

When contacted as to why he was out of prison, the Santa Barbara County District Attorney could not give any specific reason but suggested that California's proposition 57 gave the state 'wide latitude to award additional custody credits, as well as, early parole opportunities.'

The vehicle Thompson was driving at the time had over 17 pounds of marijuana and $20,000 in cash, according to Fox News.

It is one of Thompson's many arrests and a lengthy rap sheet for the son of a disgraced Minnesota politician.

Thompson's father John Thompson was expelled from the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party caucus in September 2021 for lying about being racially profiled by a police officer over his past problems with the law, which included a domestic violence accusation.

Amazing how the BLM movement supports such violent pieces of shit. Same goes for black politicians. No repercussions = no reason for them to live honestly.
