The subred has a bot posting in literally every topic, may as well list the backups here too-
If Texas secedes, FOLLOW THEM. Get other states to follow them above all, then as many counties as you can convince to break off from their states (because face it, it's impossible to get all of Illinois). With the moves they've just made, it is now going to be DANGEROUS to live in the United States as a responsible, independent citizen, and especially as a local business owner.
I'd certainly love to see Texas take the step to becoming an independent republic again. With this, it is literally going to be dangerous to even remain in the USA as a responsible, independent American. I'd never have thought secession would be as good an idea as I have now. But it means people will have to have the balls to stand up for themselves, and we know how that's going right now...
Let's pull out the numbers again.
Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer): Over 100 million sales in a series that lasted four years (ended middle of last year). That's about 25 million per year on average.
Western Comics, ENTIRE INDUSTRY: 15 million sales in a year.
ONE SINGLE MANGA outdoes the ENTIRETY of western comics media by 66%.
Texas Republic is starting to sound like a fine idea. Especially if it draws in the same bordering states that joined in the SC case. And that could go even further if the counties of opposing states (like my small Southern Illinois county) start breaking off. All you need is a border to a TR state and the rest would hopefully topple like dominoes.
Congress still commands a 15% or so public approval rating
"Congress has an approval rating of 9%. By contrast, Omar Gaddaffi had an approval rating of 13%, and was dragged into the street and executed by his own people."
A summer of rioting. Entire blocks of cities burned. Businesses destroyed... for what? And what did law enforcement do? Nothing. Certainly didn't deploy anything beyond non-lethal riot suppression.
One hour of unrest at the Capitol. LIVE FUCKING FIRE AGAINST AN UNARMED PROTESTER.
Fuck optics.
Just got it. Almost freaked out at the shape it came delivered, but followed the instructions (a 15 minute dryer cycle before first use), and those things expanded like you wouldn’t believe. It’s a nice balance of soft yet firm.
