Just got it. Almost freaked out at the shape it came delivered, but followed the instructions (a 15 minute dryer cycle before first use), and those things expanded like you wouldn’t believe. It’s a nice balance of soft yet firm.

If Texas secedes, FOLLOW THEM. Get other states to follow them above all, then as many counties as you can convince to break off from their states (because face it, it's impossible to get all of Illinois). With the moves they've just made, it is now going to be DANGEROUS to live in the United States as a responsible, independent citizen, and especially as a local business owner.

I'd certainly love to see Texas take the step to becoming an independent republic again. With this, it is literally going to be dangerous to even remain in the USA as a responsible, independent American. I'd never have thought secession would be as good an idea as I have now. But it means people will have to have the balls to stand up for themselves, and we know how that's going right now...

Seriously, nearly a full year of civil unrest with jack shit done to stop it from one side. The other has one day of uncivility, and suddenly the government goes full Nazi?

Not surprising. The rallying point has been lost, and it's hard to find the courage to do what must be done without it.

Let's pull out the numbers again.

Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer): Over 100 million sales in a series that lasted four years (ended middle of last year). That's about 25 million per year on average.

Western Comics, ENTIRE INDUSTRY: 15 million sales in a year.

ONE SINGLE MANGA outdoes the ENTIRETY of western comics media by 66%.

Texas Republic is starting to sound like a fine idea. Especially if it draws in the same bordering states that joined in the SC case. And that could go even further if the counties of opposing states (like my small Southern Illinois county) start breaking off. All you need is a border to a TR state and the rest would hopefully topple like dominoes.

Congress still commands a 15% or so public approval rating

"Congress has an approval rating of 9%. By contrast, Omar Gaddaffi had an approval rating of 13%, and was dragged into the street and executed by his own people."

A summer of rioting. Entire blocks of cities burned. Businesses destroyed... for what? And what did law enforcement do? Nothing. Certainly didn't deploy anything beyond non-lethal riot suppression.

One hour of unrest at the Capitol. LIVE FUCKING FIRE AGAINST AN UNARMED PROTESTER.

Fuck optics.

Yeah, I didn't intend for it to be a reply to TheImpossible1.

Yakuza is a loved series, did something EXTREMELY different, and said title is still freaking loved. I haven’t tried it yet, but I want to give my vote to Yakuza (7); Like a Dragon.

There’s virtue signaling, and there’s encouraging violence and destruction of innocent locally-owned businesses.

“Cities can rebuild” Sony.

Who’s shocked? I’m not shocked. They had every chance to cooperate in making sure everything went down properly. THEY DIDN’T EVEN TRY, IN FACT, THEY FOUGHT AGAINST IT AT ALL COSTS. This was inevitable.

In case you haven’t noticed yet, SHIT IS GOONG DOWN IN DC.

Yeah, we’re getting both high traffic and DDOS attacks.

How much property damage to private citizens property and locally-businesses occurred today?

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

This game didn’t have broken stat and equipment builds, so it took ACTUAL SKILL to get all the way through.

I can see TheImpossible1’s point on Battlefield 5, but even that didn’t get nearly the media/award coverage that TLOU2 got. So TLOU2.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Who knew that historical fact would be such an issue?
