It's not a rallying point issue, it's that he threw his supporters under the bus for taking "if we let this fraud stand we don't have a country anymore" to its logical conclusion.
I don't think anyone was comfortable with the prospect of going to civil war, not the RINOs, the neocons, the supreme court, pence or Trump or even the 1 million ppl who went to washington because you can't win a civil war with 1 million mostly unarmed ppl.
Lots of ppl say oh they would have risen up, except...where were they on the 6th? Not there
I agree that you don't have a country anymore if there's so much fraud that's NOT explained. But it requires ppl to fight for it and in the end, there wasn't anyone willing to sacrifice their life. The RINOs , supreme court, pence don't care. Why stick their neck out. Trump's not callous enough to risk civil war. Keep in mind the dude wants to bring back american troops and hasn't started any new wars. He's changed procedure on kneeling on necks just cause floyd died. He's very conscious about lifes being lost.
You need someone who would be willing to die and willing to have others die at their instruction as well and basically, that's not Trump
I think a lot of people went yesterday expecting something to go down. Personally I expected an epic street brawl and never in my wildest dreams thought there'd be a full-on occupation of the Capitol building. There was a post on TDW of a guy saying good-bye to his kids, thinking he's going into literal battle and not expecting to come back.
However in battle one expects to have the backing of one's generals. Most people will not fight a battle when their generals start turning the artillery on their own troops, which is now happening with the FBI investigating the occupation of the Capitol building. All those people who were there because Trump wanted them there, who thought they were helping Trump, will go to prison.
The only person who didn't want to fight a battle on the 6th was Trump. It's too bad, because the mob was the one way he could have gotten what he wanted; and it's the one option he refused to take.
With only 1 million mostly unarmed ppl? There was no chance of that doing anything. Realistically speaking, it's a nice show but those aren't numbers you can use to fight a civil war with. They could take the capitol and....then what? Any armed force could take them out and it'll come to that if it comes to civil war. Those 1 million would have been sitting ducks
Not surprising. The rallying point has been lost, and it's hard to find the courage to do what must be done without it.
