These people are their own worst enemies; shit like this (and this is an incredibly mild example) are some of the best arguments against gay marriage.
Not only is their logic flawed, and it's a bad argument...but if we ban gay marriage, we can make goblins like this cry? Sign me the fuck up.
Also, Reddit is a fucking cesspit of self-induced neuroses and misery. It's amazing, they can link anything back to politics, and then get all upset about how bad the world is, and how they're the Special and Good ones who are In the Know. They still think being a liberal or progressive is somehow subversive and underground. Hell, I saw a post recently acting like believing in manmade climate change was somehow underground and unpopular, and normies don't believe. It's a mainstream narrative, pushed really hard by the legacy media, and they still act like they're special for eating the slop narrative.
How do you live your life being wrong about everything and still think you're one of the good guys?
I mean, easily. If you're that wrong about everything, but keep being that wrong, you obviously have issues, and/or are brainwashed. Of course you think you're one of the Good Guys.
You WILL be disappointed.
And anyone sane should have known they'd be "disappointed" long before you even voted. People put Trump up on a pedestal, and then act surprised when he's not actually the God Emperor of Mankind. Trump was never perfect, but is still the best we've had in decades, and now we get him back. Am I disappointed by some of his decisions? Yes. Do I regret my vote? Not for a fucking second.
Chill out, people.
I'm still just glad we aren't dealing with President Elect Kamala "Kackles" Harris.
Trump won. Stop dooming. He'll fix some things, but he's not going to magically fix everything and, yes, he'll even make some things worse...but he's still miles better than the alternative. Just like Trump himself, we all dodged a bullet, bigly.
On the one hand, innocent until proven guilty, and we've seen how lies compound and the "victims" flow out of the woodwork, and how they have massive things to gain by being victims. On the other hand...this wouldn't surprise me either. I've enjoyed some of Gaiman's works, he spun a good story before he went even more woke...but he was always a bit of a weirdo, and I seem to recall there being rumors even years ago. So, yeah, wouldn't be shocked if he was a total scumbag with women.
Nothing from this official sale (haven't really looked yet), but I recently picked up Menace from the Deep, Mortal Glory, and Hometopia.
I've mostly been playing Menace from the Deep, which is a fun card battler...but with some really odd balance and gameplay decisions.
Haven't played Mortal Glory yet, and haven't played much Hometopia, but was a little disappointed so far. Cool concept, wasn't super impressed with the execution, but I might just have to spend more time with it. Sadly it seems like all lots are flat, too, so you can't really build up into terrain. Again, haven't spent much time though, and could be missing stuff.
Phoenix Point also did one of the biggest 'fuck yous' to gamers in history.
They, to my knowledge, handled Epic exclusivity the worst of anyone, ever, anywhere. Lied to everyone, didn't honor it, told their backers to get lost, basically.
If you like a fantasy setting, I'm a big fan of Endless Legend, which is the earlier project from Amplitude, who went on to make Humankind. The base game is also half the price of Humankind right now.
Also, I saw they recently parted ways (i.e. got kicked out, probably) with Sega, and are independent again, which could be good.
...be a disaster, probably on the Concord level.
Probably not quite but, yeah, pain is coming down the pipeline.
Unless consumers are even more retarded than I think.
Also, I don't think it's cheap labor. Big companies like this don't seem to care about saving money anymore, as stupid as that is. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were overpaying these newbies compared to what they're bringing to the table.
When you get that big, it's all money laundering and corruption. If they are saving money on these people, it's probably not based on their wages, but from ESG bucks, because they hired a bunch of trannies, nonwhites, autists, and homosexuals, or something.
Breaking down the role, the director said that his version of Macrinus "was a prisoner of war — probably at a North African state — and actually was taken to Rome probably as a gladiator. Survived. Got free. Got into the business of maybe making wine and bread. He evolved into a very rich merchant selling shit to the Roman armies — food, oil, wine, cloth, weapons, everything."
"He maybe had a million men spread around Europe. So he was a billionaire at the time," Scott continued. "He's also a gangster — very close to Trump. A clever gangster."
Why the fuck is an 87 year old talking like a more retarded millennial? I know he's not the writer, but this still just comes across as so weak. Speak with some conviction, and leave out the guesswork. Or, if that stuff is important, talk to the writers so you can see what they were envisioning, as far as fleshing everything out goes.
Also, people love "clever gangsters." Not sure where the dunk is. Their version of Trump might be even cooler than the real-life version.
Rather misleading, if still not a great sign. Not saying I agree with the statement, but here's what he said:
“Even though they’re playing the game right now and they think it’s the worst thing they’ve ever seen, it’s going to be good. We’re going to get there.”
He elaborated, “I’ve been there. I remember my first time on Assassin’s creed like it was July and the game was shipping in October. I was like, ‘There’s now way this thing ends up shipping. Oh! 91 Metacritic. Oh, okay, this is good.’ So I was wrong because it’s not good until it is.”
Honestly pretty moronic to say that, since you know it's going to get taken out of context like this. Why on Earth would you say "it's the worst thing they've ever seen" publicly, before the game launches?!
Also...oooof.
He said, “One of the things that I’ve noticed since the pandemic is that we have a lot of juniors in our teams. … Probably half the team that’s building Assassin’s Creed is building a game for the first time.”
You're a major studio, why the actual living fuck would you do such a thing?
Retards.
Kind of funny. Still out of context, but one way to read this is, the devs think it's bad in its current form, but they are fucking clueless because they have no experience...but are going to make it into a good game. Yeah, sure...
These people are so shallow and lack any introspection.
It's a story, and everyone fills their roles. The Wicked Witch is, well, wicked. It doesn't matter what lead her there, that's the role she plays, and has embraced.
Plenty of victimizers were also victims. You can feel bad for them, but it doesn't change their current role. Plenty of serial killers, rapists, and the like were abused as kids. Really fucked up stuff, and you should pity their past, sure. If the role you play though, is the Serial Killer, or the Rapist, you're a despicable person. Yeah, you had a rough childhood, and that definitely is sad...but you're out there killing and raping people, man! That is kind of the more important bit.
If you're the Wicked Witch, you're wicked. You don't get to be the good guy. You haven't tried to redeem yourself, you haven't reformed your ways...you're the Wicked Witch. If you haven't stopped the wickedness...I think it's fair for people to judge you as the Wicked Witch. You know, if you're out there being all wicked and stuff.
It really is so surface level. These people claim to be all smart and empathetic, but the actions and behavior of a character is what matters, not the backstory. You don't get to be the Good Guy, while being the Bad Guy, just because you have a backstory. A backstory adds depth, but doesn't change the role someone plays...again, up until the point they might actually decide to change and lay aside their past role.
It is banal and, yes, petty and childish...but you can still see the gain they're going for; self aggrandizement, and a feeling of purpose and superiority. They need to be the Good Guys, that's the motive.
So there's definitely gain. It's not monetary, it's not exactly power (although you need power to push this on others), but it's just as important to them. It's building their very Self. It's their identity.
Hot take: Don't care. This is the least of his (Clarity EDIT: President Biden's) crimes, and I don't care about him looking after family.
Hunter is absolute scum, but this still might be the most honorable thing Grandpa Joe did in the last four years.
EDIT: I still think it's understandable, if corrupt. However, I think I was also unclear; I meant the pardon is the least of Joe's crimes, not Hunter's. The president has nearly unlimited pardon powers. Of course he was going to use them. I'm not saying it's good, I'm not saying Hunter deserves it, but I'm saying it's par for the course. It was much more broad than I initially thought, too, which does sour me on it, but it's still totally expected and within Joe's rights.
