Both Kiryu Coco and Akai Haato have received 3 week suspensions for showing Youtube analytics where Taiwan is placed with other countries because China isn't happy about that.
They had posted this statement on their reddit, which is now removed. The statement sent to Chinese audiences explicitly stated that they support the One China policy. So basically, they're bending over backwards to try and appease the Chinese audience at the expense of everybody else.
I wish the Donald mods would make some kind of anime.win or something similar for them. Originally I kinda looked down on the weebs, but I eventually noticed they were surprisingly resilient to the sjw's tactics, pretty based too.
The best that people could do in that mess in the Hololive subreddit was inform some people about what China is really about and drop some tips about the 50 cent army, Alinsky and the rules of radicals, and tactics about how people take control of online narratives in politically ignorant communities.
The Taiwan flag post is still in the front page last I checked.
There are still many people there who just cover their ears and go "LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU I WANT TO GO BACK TO MY HAPPY PLACE"
Some freshly made account claiming authority as a mod somewhere without giving info is trying to take control of the narrative to make the China hate stop and to make the sheep go back to sleep. I checked the bottom answers and the ones factual about China were mostly downvoted there to keep the "I agree with this post" answers at the top.
If the Chinese get mad, it's "Well they should have known better" or "They should be more careful". If the civilized world gets mad, it's "Let's calm down, we gain nothing from being mad" or "Forget it, there's nothing we can do." I understand not doing some things, like just recklessly screaming into other people's chats or putting people into positions where they really can't win, but staying mad about it and actually using that anger constructively is how things change. Always remember the things China has done, can do, and will do.
That said, if they play their cards wrong here they could actually endanger the lives of the CN branch girls, so I understand some of what they've done. China's killed people for less.
The whole situation is fucked. I'm somewhat optimistic that Coco and Haato will come back after the three weeks, however, the Mano Aloe situation really soured me on that. To be fair it doesn't seem as though people are trying to doxx them so maybe they won't end up retiring after the three weeks.
I also understand the argument that Hololive wants to protect their Chinese streamers, if Hololive told China to fuck off then not only are they banned from Bilibili but Hololive CN is essentially shut down and all the people who work there are likely going to have their social credit scores fucked, thus making it harder for them to find work elsewhere.
The real bad guy here is the CCP, they act like a 12 year old who refuses to accept that Santa Claus isn't real. The irony is that most of these antis use VPN's set to Taiwan to watch these videos on youtube.
This is so bullshit. I've been slowly getting into the Coco's content the past few months and to hear about this pisses me off. I sort of wish I went for the route of creating a large popular YouTube channel instead of my boring civil rights channel just so I can trigger some of these big companies by speaking out against the CCP.
Individual companies will say they recognize it in the Chinese versions of their message. In this instance, someone translated the Hololive post in China and it was very pandering towards the One China policy and had a similar tone to how Blizzard did it. Different messaging for different audiences.

The Jew fears the Samurai.
We've know Japan is based since the last open Communist politician in Japan became a Good Communist live on camera.
They have no social clout or worth. Most have been called pedos or nazis for years until it stopped phasing them.
This makes most sjw tactics pretty null, unless they are still in their "I want people to like me!" desperate phase.

Just cut off China. Hololive will gain more by just keeping Coco and letting her do what she likes.

Their names are now banned words in Genshin Impact.
Boycott China

I've never seen a people so spineless and pathetic than the Chinese. Literally mentioning a country and they freak out like you've insulted mother.
The world would be better off without their entire bug nation.
Laws against this when?

So Japan is starting to recognize China's claim then? This is worrying.
