The point of the riots is to disband the Police without actually having Durkan held responsible. They get sent into engagement after engagement without any possibility of being able to keep the peace, because even in the instance they can make an arrest or keep the peace with their RoE restricting them from effective action, the DA will release anyone they do arrest to go around again the next night.
Eventually, Police rules of engagement will be so restrictive that they're completely unable to perform their duties, if there are even any left who haven't taken early retirement or simply moved to another job.
Between this, the firebomb, and the cops shot in KY, I’m kind of at a loss for words tonight. I thought these were all obvious red lines, but I guess the cops are just gonna keep taking it.

Police don't prosecute. They press charges, then the DA either follows through, or drops. Typically after consulting with city officials.

If Binden wins the riots will stop cause lets face it they are using Floyd or who ever just to cause unrest and then CNN can make a golden statue for Binden for quelling the riots.
If Trump wins then the riots will continue, question is until when?
If Biden wins, the riots won't stop until Antifa becomes the police. Then your going to get Antifa coming into the suburbs, forcibly evicting people at gun point, and machinguning people who resist.
If Trump wins the riots will continue until the corporatists realize that they can't win with Black National Socialism or White Communism, and they are going to start trying to cut deals with Trump (who will be plenty willing to do just that). Trump's win will be the beginning of a preference cascade against the Left. The Commies and NatSocs will realize that they've been turned on, and start promoting regular old terrorism through active shooters and bombings. The mainstream media will endorse the terrorism and blame Americans generally because they've been co-opted by Leftist radicals, even if they are funded by Coporatist money. That's when the American people start losing their shit and setting press buildings on fire. The Corporatists will make one final deal and ask Trump to basically crack down hard on these people, and the preference cascade will end with Leftists going into hiding and the American population having moved ideologically right by a few degrees. The establishment will advertise themselves as right-wing authoritarians. The major division in the country will still be between authoritarian establishment and liberal/libertarian anti-establishment, but it will have a slightly more red hue.
I think that if the election were fair, Trump will win with a 10 million vote differential. no one is prepared to see over 100 million white votes in this election, and the Dems aren't going to get more than 37% of that. It's the only reason he's not going to lose from cheating is because they won't be able to cheat hard enough in states they don't understand are at risk. It's not going to look like a landslide on election day. It's going to look like a blood bath. Without those mail in votes, it will look like Trump has secured 450 electoral votes. Their best effort would only be to bring him back down to 300 or so.
The Dems are imagining that Ohio is a state that's leaning blue. It's not. They should be concerned about Oregon, Minnesota, and Maryland leaning Red.
That is the beginning of the preference cascade.
All in all, I feel quite right about this because my predictions from last year seem to all have been accurate (except I expected more hostile activity from the Banks, Federal LE, and the Intelligence Agencies; but Trump seems to have placated the banks to a degree, gotten better control over Federal LE, and seems to have held the intel agency deep state at bay).
Unfortunately, I'm still holding to my claim that preference cascade moves into over-drive when someone like Don Lemon blames the American people for the deaths of over 150 federal law enforcement from a major act of Leftist terrorism. I'm not looking forward to that. We've still got another 6-12 months of violence after Trump's re-election.
