It's too late. She backed Antifa and they escalated. Same with the mayor. The community needs to take care of it. The Sheriffs should be used to pick up Antifas that are barely coming in so their numbers stop increasing.
Unless the governor signed a letter of marque explicitly granting them permission to use deadly force if they are attacked, I would also decline. I wouldn't trust the mayor or the governor not to throw me to the wolves otherwise.
I work throughout the PNW so I have friends there. I think the weirdest comment was during the Federal Courthouse v Antifa problems. One person said people were begging the federal officers to become human and let the building go. The story was pretty intense about how the officers simply could not understand the hurt and pain they were causing by being there and stopping the rioters.
In Seattle one of my best friends straight up told me he wouldn't protect me when the riots began, because I wasn't left leaning. He has since blocked me on facebook. The entire art scene was pro CHOP before it even happened.
Of course these are places that when I was a kid in grade school I wasn't allowed to make a gun out of my hand and yell bang, because guns are evil.
