I honestly think that when all of this first started that political powers on left seriously believed that Americans hate Trump so much that the riots would have a cascade of support and lead to a much more chaotic scenario they would take advantage of.
I didn't mean that optimistically. I meant the narrative shift will make the violence slightly different but still escalating. It could be the first round of some antifa getting rounded up by heavily armed anti-racism social workers, like a night of the long knives.

I think they will try really hard to blame trump that the riots aren't ending despite the democrat governors literally not allowing him to act.
