It's weird ONLY based on who makes it:
Lucas clearly did it that Jango wanted a Son who he could teach his craft to as a father.
But if Disney were to do it, we'll we've seen what happens to A LOT of Disney kids...
And didn't the accelerated maturation also sharply cut their lifespan?
I think that was the case, remembering how much Rex aged after the Clone Wars..
Though it might've ALSO been beyond wanting to be a father, Jango KNEW of the control chips so also knew having his son start as a child avoided that risk.

In any respect, the accelerated aging, rigid imprinting for training and honestly being a dad if you remember how Jango interacts with his son was why he had Boba as a child.
Yeah. In the books it is mentioned. It is also mentioned that they needed to keep Jango around because the DNA deteriorates and they needed him for new batches.
Exactly my line of thought.
When you are willing to do a fully nude photo shoot to get out of a contract with Disney, working for them must really be horrible.
