If it's true - then I don't blame those people for wanting to leave. Literally anywhere else on earth would be better than this. I'd rather live in Venezuela in a worn down apartment with 1 piece of corn a day and a broken down fan than there.

Do you have any idea of how much electricity this would require? For 1.5+ billion people? Id wager 80% of India doesnt even have electricity. And we're talking probably about TERAWATTS here. How are they supposed to get so much power? Nuclear is the only way I can think of. Do you REALLY think those people can run a nuclear reactor??

Electricity isn't needed to live comfortably. There are myriad old, inexpensive methods to keep dwellings cool or warm. If they all decided to be Amish tomorrow their nation would be 1000x better.

Yeah but a lot of people don't blame them for wanting to leave. They blame them for wanting to leave and then trying to colonize the USA, Canada and the U.K. instead of just being immigrants. It makes perfect sense to blame people who turned their country into a hellhole and then are trying to turn other parts of the world into a hellhole. People who are not willing to give up their shitty ways. EDIT: It's only normal for people to not want to be colonized by other people especially by people who turned their country into a massive shithole.
